My hubby changed the water pipes to take hot water instead of cold, to stop the washer having to heat up. I start the generator, turn on the heating for half an hour and presto we have hot water for our wash. Our washing comes out clean, and steaming but always use Vanish too 😄
We loved all the Chesterfield canal. It's an amazing canal and just want to be back on it now. As we are on the Trent and Mersey and it's one boat after the other compared to one every few days.
Great drone shots! If you haven't seen them already, watch out for the grass snakes as they swim across the canal, amazing to see 😊 and seem to be fairly common on the Chesterfield.
Lovely cruise. It is a lovely canal. That was good you were able to moor up outside Aldi to do your shopping. Not too far to carry it. Poor Herbie falling in.
Herbie has fallen in plenty of times. He is a fantastic swimmer. All the cats have fallen in many times. Lucky they seem to get out ok. Thank goodness 😊
Good vlog, uninspiring canal, which is why nobody is there. Try the Caldon Canal for peace and quiet, but with much more interest (especially the steam railway and Black Lion)
If you watch us regularly we done the Caldon canal at Easter time and we're on the Leek branch looking down to the main line and it was a lovely quiet spot. We also loved the Caldon canal but some very tight bends for Olive to get around being 70 feet. Still loved the Chesterfield canal.

It's been great since Andy done this. Should have done it years ago.
I fill a kettle of boiling water to add to the washing machine intake then we only run the machine when moving.

We have seen the grass snakes and Josh actually got footage of one.

I would say the canal from Heybridge basin (Essex) to Chelmsford is the quietest. Should give it a go if you can
Is it attached to the main canal network as if it isn't we can't get on it and if it is we might be too long being 70 feet long

With all of the weeds you might have to check the bate more often but you just might catch the hungriest fish in the area
