Mehidivran or gulbehar was a real princess from Albanian city of tuz now in Montenegro. She was a Muslim and the real wife of Suleiman the magnificent idiot 😂😂😂
Wow, the moment baby was named Suleiman, you could see pain in Hurrem, she knew it was for Sultan's name to live on as he was expecting Mustafa was to be his successor. I love Turkish history, it is so unique. I am curious why no Hollywood studio took a shot on it. It was the predominant power of its time, empire spread across 3 continents, all of eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea was a Turkish lake and all trade between West and East had to go over them as deep sea navigation capable ships was not yet invented. If Mustafa took the throne instead of Selim the drunk, he had plans to expand further west and even go to America, history would be very different. We could all speak Turkish by now :D
First it's not pain, it's jealousy and showing low mindset. Second Suleiman never declared any of his sons as acessor until it was just Bayazid and Selim. Yeah Mustafa and Mehmed was his favorites up to some points but it never showed him as making a decision. Even Hurrem's sons are named after Suleiman's father/ grandfather and that's how royal families used to name their baby boys. Like Henry|, Henry|| etc.. naming doesn't indicate Suleiman thought Mustafa as a successor as he was oldest and most capable so he'd the most chance. And making faces, being insecure, having grumpy moves wasn't necessary for Hurrem at all! That's a new born baby and only a monster would be jealous and insecure on a child!
lol you don’t need to get angry :D Just curious, where are you from? Are you from Balkans? Definitely you are interested in Turkish history so maybe you have some connection to it, that’s what I am curious about
@@ROBOROBOROBOROBO sorry for that reaction I was confused, I'm from Bangladesh and a Muslim. Yes I've interested and I'm fascinated by Turkish history and it's rullings. I'm watching magnificent from 2016 and it was a big hit telecast drama in my homeland. Literally everyone saw it and loved it. And Mustafa's death was as tragic as Turkish people feel even today. Here my uncle named his son Mustafa after the real prince Mustafa's name and one of my niece was named Mehrimah. So you may have understood how much we loved it. Also I loved Kosem and I'll start watching Querulous Osman or the last Sultan maybe Ahmed( sorry I forget the name) their life based series. And I'd love to know if there's more
It's a staple of hers that I actually love to see since it's proof of growth within her character in that she's chosen how to choose her words with care and patience. Someone once referred to it as her basically pulling a "don't think about the elephant in the room" in that, while you can't accuse her of slandering Mustafa or Mahidevran, she keeps them right at the forefront of Suleiman's mind, rather than letting things be forgotten as his feelings abate.
It's clear how envious Hurrem is of Mahidevran's new life. Look the way she looks at everything. And the way she acts. Such a bitter woman. Mahidevran was finally happy and free, while she was condemned to be always making a fussy and throwing tantrums bwcauss of Suleiman.
It makes the writing so... _weird_ at times. Like, I'll never understand the "Mustafa is the sainted şehzade all good and proper şehzades adore and support" agenda the show tried to push in the final season.
The two truly important scenes in this video are Suleyman talking to Mehmed and Suleyman talking to Hurrem. I think by this point Suleyman is at least subconsciously thinking Mustafa will have to die for his brothers to live. As well as probably regretting that Mehmed has a rather close relationship with Mustafa. I honestly love that even if by this point in the series Hurrem fears Mustafa as much as she does Mahidevran she knows not to try and get Suleyman to doubt his son. Any suspicion need to be on Mahidevran only.
So, I mentioned it in another comment, but it really is a tactic that ensures such transgressions remain fresh in Suleiman's mind rather than forgotten and all while it sounds like she's flattering Mustafa and or trying to court forgiveness for him. Given her earlier tendencies towards immediate outbursts, it shows great growth in her character.
But still other of his sons had to die even if mustafa died .... Only one could live.. that's the rule , hurrem and Suleiman knew this hurrem only tried to get rid of mustafa never thought about the other possibility that only one of her son will live and other will die and she had to suffer for them ... @@barkaatahmed8137 The thing to keep in mind is that until Hurrem Şehzade where always half brothers. So it's not that hard to think Hurrem and even Suleyman could have hope that Mehmed taking the throne would give Silem, Bayezid and Cihangir a chance at surviving.

Hurrem is so negative, Mahidevran is enough generous and welcoming her whole heartily. She's happy and doesn't mean anything more than to warmly welcome her guests. But Hurrem could never digest anyone being nice to her, she's nasty she likes being treated nasty. Also what kind of women is she?!! She has make faces even on a child?!
