I just have to say, thanks so much for the high quality upload of this gameplay. "small" edit: it really warms my heart that I am not alone with how much of an impact this game had on them. My childhood memories of this is so vivid. I remember the theme song and even sang it! The 3d game play made me want to cry tears of joy!!! 😭 it was so magical and I miss it so much. Gingerbread plums: the troll used to weird me put when you tickled him, so I would just rapidly click him and watch him glitch out 😆. But he was still funny. Candy cane forest: The lumberjack was so wholesome and wonderful! 😭 I loved how supportive he was of my music 😆. Definitely had a crush on him. Licorice Castle: I used to be actually terrified to go in because of the "villain" mentality. I thought for sure something bad would happen. So I very timidly would click on things. However I loved the tiny vile that would turn red and black in the right bottom corner. When i saw that again my brain said, "small friend" 😆 so I guess that was the thing that was wholesome to me inside it. And I loved turning out the lights. Hearing him say he was scared of the dark made him more human to me. Gumdrops: FREAKING GUMDROP MOUNTAIN!!! I HATED THAT PURPLE THING😱 the way he darted around the screen with that crazed look in his eyes gave me the Willie's 😵 but I adored the mountain its self! 😄 I loved giving him his color back. And also the red gummy cat that would appear. Loved that thing. Gingerbread Cottage: The chocolate drop, pink drop, and purple flat candy things that grew on the tree is what I remember the most. I loved the chocolate rabbits eating everything. I dont remember changing the house much though. Lollipop Forest: THE CHICK!!! THE FREAKING CHICK!! Forget about the lollipop game that you could only play so many times. The only thing I remember about that was the huge red smiley faces that creeped me out. But that chick I would feed so much!! 😭 it was baby, and it was so cute. Ice Cream Sea: The whale😭😭😭 sweet precious baby that must be protected. I loved it so much. I always thought the queen was so beautiful and majestic, loved her hair. I never noticed how annoying her voice was though 😅 I would spend HOURS making different ice creams and sending them off into the sunset 😆 they were so pretty. Molasses Swamp: 😨 ok I always thought it was chocolate. I was gonna say, "I dont remember much about this place, what was here?" And then I saw it and was like "😱 HOLY CRAP NOW I REMEMBER!!!" That glob thing was TERRIFYING!!!! The face he would make right before he changed shape!? And for some reason I always felt creeped out and gross over there. Like Major creeper get the heck out of here videos. The freaking chocolate bars blinking at the bottom, it was like they were saying, "bru run..." not to mention the gummy bears committing suicide into the pond 😭 it was all sketchy as heck... All in all this game holds so many memories dear to me. These guys were my friends that I would love to visit. Thank you for preserving this memory ❤

To name a few and I remember one time when I went to play the game and put it in the computer and I don't know what exactly happened but somehow there was a problem with the disc and the last time I ever played it the disc COMPLETELY SHATTERED. I would guess there must have been a crack in the disc or I put it in wrong but it really sucked because as I said I used to play it a lot and then that happens and that must of been when I was 4 years old so while I loved this game I barely remember it so it's nice to finally see it again all these years later
Isn't it, though? I mean, I like the fact that you could just keep tickling him for an unlimited amount of time, and the different things Plumpy said every time he tried to carry the three pies away but fell over doing so!
56:55 does anyone know why it says special thanks Special Agent Dale Cooper. That’s the detective’s name in the 1990 show Twin Peaks. I used to play this game so much when I was a kid and once I finished it my mother saw that special thanks and she told me about it later when I had watched the show and we’ve both been wondering since what a kids game has to do with Twin Peaks.
Most likely, Cooper was so charming and lovable that it helped the dev team with the creation of this game. It's so cool to see this here! It's as if Candyland is part of the White Lodge.
I loved this game when I was three to five. If the board game was a cartoon in the 90's, here is my cast, courtesy of Ocean Group/DiC: John the Candy Land Boy: Bill Switzer Dawn the Candy Land Girl: Chantal Strand King Candy: Jay Brazeau Plumpy the Plum Troll: John Stocker Mr. Mint: Ian James Corlett Lord Licorice: Chris Wiggins Jolly the Gumdrop Clown: Phil Hayes Gramma Nutt: Pam Hyatt Gloppy the Molasses Monster: Garry Chalk Princess Lolly: Tara Charendoff Queen Frostine: Kathleen Barr I hope you find my choices fitting. And if you have a different cast for a 90's Candy Land cartoon, post it in this comment.
I freaking KNEW IT I never played Sonic as a kid, and yet the sound of collecting rings causes such a visceral nostalgic feeling that does not match anything else from the Sonic franchise I HAD A FEELING THAT DARNED SOUND EFFECT WAS IN THIS GAME, AND I WAS RIGHT I can't believe I will forever be reminded of Candyland because they ripped a Sonic sound effect

I would guess there must have been a crack in the disc or I put it in wrong but it really sucked because as I said I used to play it a lot and then that happens and that must of been when I was 4 years old so while I loved this game I barely remember it so it's nice to finally see it again all these years later
The plumpy minigame was too funny
It's as if Candyland is part of the White Lodge.
board games, computer games, old school games, playground games, sport games, arcade games, video games
Yup they’re games alright
Man yellow had the comeback of the CENTURY right there
I used to LOVE this PC game as a kid, but it would always end up crashing and I would get so upset. 😂
I have dreams where I'm in candy land to this very day
Oh my god I can’t this is the most nostalgic thing ever 🥲🥲
3:36 Sonic Ring Sound Effect
Sonic... THE HEDGEHOG?!?!
I remember getting this game in my cereal box. I think my Mom eventually donated the disk, I couldn't find it anywhere.
Well I mean it's perfectly find to find it online as it's considered abandonware at this point
Poor Yellow had a winning streak for itself until 13:40
When he tickled the peppermint guy 😂😂
His name is mr mint
@@skunkman9815 Also the narrator of the game
I loved this game when I was three to five. If the board game was a cartoon in the 90's, here is my cast, courtesy of Ocean Group/DiC:
John the Candy Land Boy: Bill Switzer
Dawn the Candy Land Girl: Chantal Strand
King Candy: Jay Brazeau
Plumpy the Plum Troll: John Stocker
Mr. Mint: Ian James Corlett
Lord Licorice: Chris Wiggins
Jolly the Gumdrop Clown: Phil Hayes
Gramma Nutt: Pam Hyatt
Gloppy the Molasses Monster: Garry Chalk
Princess Lolly: Tara Charendoff
Queen Frostine: Kathleen Barr
I hope you find my choices fitting. And if you have a different cast for a 90's Candy Land cartoon, post it in this comment.
35:27 plumpy is the last of his kind? that's a little depressing for a kid's board game...
More like some lore
I freaking KNEW IT
I never played Sonic as a kid, and yet the sound of collecting rings causes such a visceral nostalgic feeling that does not match anything else from the Sonic franchise
I HAD A FEELING THAT DARNED SOUND EFFECT WAS IN THIS GAME, AND I WAS RIGHT
I can't believe I will forever be reminded of Candyland because they ripped a Sonic sound effect
But what do you do when you want to leave?
