Yes, I agree. No man can ever replace Alvin Lee. These cats calling themselves Ten Years After would be like calling Justin Hayward and the folks he is touring with now the Moody Blues! I have seen both of these bands in the last few years and enjoyed the shows but like you say, without Alvin it's not TYA. I saw them in 2007 with Joe Gooch and he did a great job covering for Alvin, but again not TYA They still had Leo Lyons playing with them in 2007 but now that he is not with them they should call the band ten years later or ten years after Alvin.
It’s still a treat to hear and see these songs performed live! It’s not like there any many if any 10YA tribute bands so……rock on & enjoy …or watch one of the jillion other awesome music vids! (& now that u mention it I think I’ll go find a 10YA live concert WITH ALVIN!!!
