I loved the glasps. They’re probably in my top 5 enemies in the series. I think they do a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to creating tension in Rev 2’s encounters, and making them memorable. They really bumped that game’s enemy roster from something pretty average and generic to actually quite good.
When I was young, my dad let me play RE Revelations and that boss called MayDay Boss or Officer Boss was traumatizing at the time for sure I think I was 6 or 8
Reapers are actually very easy to deal with if you run an SMG. All it takes is one bullet to hit the weak point in order to stun it, so if you aim at its chest while it's exposed, at least one of the shots will cause it to take a knee even if your aim is slightly off (the recoil will actually help you in this case). The weak spot closes almost as quickly as it takes to fire 2 rounds from the Pistol, so the faster fire rate can sneak a few more rounds in the attempt. You can then switch to a Magnum or a Rifle to pop the spots on its back or just do it the long way and fill it with lead as it limbos around.
In my own RE5 experience, I find the lightning hawk to be the best choice when dealing with the reapers; it's quick which is very good for dealing with them and plus, it's strong so they won't take many shots before dying

In Re1 remake and OG Re3, the hunter lunge swipe is an instant kill. The likelihood of them using it goes up the less health you have, but while it's rare, hunters do occasionally use the lunge even at fine health. The move itself is an instant kill if it lands regardless of how much health you have, I was hit by one before at full health and died anyway.
I just finally beat RE0 and as soon as I saw the title of this video I had to see if the lurkers made the list! And rightfully so! I was so mad 😅
I remember seeing a Lurker on my playthrough of RE0 and well, the Lurker met the receiving end of a Magnum. Killing one of those oversized frogs felt satisfying. 😂
He forgot to mention that #4 Chainsaw enemies also appeared in Resident Evil 6, and yes they did have an instant kill move too. They weren't as scary because their "chainsaw" was actually a mutated extension of their arm, bone and ligaments, making it appear less realistic. Plus, there were so many ways to dodge enemies in RE6.
I agree that the Lurker is an awful enemy as it killed me instantly a few times too. Just one time a Lurker also appeared on the small bridge, just when you exit the elevator and enter the Water Treatment Plant, where Rebecca found Billy holding on to a rock in the water.
for the first one, I didn't even know it had an instant kill attack. I never got passed Scagdead (the vary first boss in that game). Huge difficulty spike where I wasted an entire day off trying it until I full on gave up
Glasps were so annoying for me that they were the one reason I've abandoned RE Revelations 2, years ago. To this day, I still haven't gone back to it and don't know if I ever will.
The RE2R Ivy's annoyed me the most. Just because there was NO indication they had an insta-kill attack, so trying to save a defense item, I ended up getting killed.
After learning about the ODZ, it’s just as hilarious as it would be annoying. Imagine if he was in the other RE games, like 3. Where instead of Nemesis chasing you, it’s just this guy with a face that says “go ahead, shoot me. See what happens”
I strongly agree with this list especially with Forest being the zombie we can’t kill because if we do, then it’s game over. Every time I saw Forest in the game running after me, I yelled “I love you but stay the Fuck away from me!!! And “GET AWAY!!!”
In the original Resident Evil 4 during the fight against the Armaduras I always let the Plaga emerge from all three Armaduras and then use a Flash Grenade to kill them all at once. I always make sure I have two Flash Grenades ready for this fight.
They definitely made it easier in remake since they only got plaga A instead of mandibulas, plus ashley can help you with lantern to stun them and easily pop they plagas by melee them.
I don't know if it's because I play on Easy or what, but in all the times I played Resident Evil 0 back in the GameCube days, I don't think I ever saw a Lurker. I'd heard abut the game having giant man-eating frogs, but I never believed it because I never encountered one. It wasn't until TH-cam was a thing that I saw proof of their existence.
I played on easy and still got killed by one cause I tried running away from it and its tongue reached me lol. I was pissed cause I hadnt saved in a while
Was playing 5 with my friend. and when I told another friend. he goes. "Ohhh Once I spot the reapers. I'm gone. Nope." We stopped playing just before them and haven't gone back since(Mainly because I don't often activate PSN+ unless I know I'm going to use it.)
I only died once with the Lurker playing as Billy most of the time I ran through the areas with water and never encountered them the Reaper should have been number 1 because they are so damn hard to kill unless you have a Rocket Launcher
Eh it honestly all depends. For example, my first play through (probably because I found myself backtracking a lot that first time) I ran into a total of 4 of them and 3/4 got me each time. Also I was devastated on my no save playthrough when one of them caught me off guard.
Honestly didn’t know the frog could appear by the forklift. I’ve gone through there so many times and it’s never appeared there. I’ve only had it appear 3 times where you find billy. First time it ruined my no death run because it spawned right after I rescued billy and I had no weapons at the time. But it’s always spawned for me on the bridge when crossing to the other side of the treatment plant after defeating the prototyrant for the second time. The bridge before getting to the room with the box to transport Rebecca almost never spawns but it’s the second most likely for it to spawn for me. In revelations 1 I’ve found the weird BOW that’s on the wall to be very frustrating in raid mode and in the story because it was always catching me off guard or I had no ammo when I’d encounter it. Also I didn’t know which ones would spawn in most areas (the weird egg looking things)
I like to see someone post a poll with every Resident Evil game on it, there's aot of them and it be interesting to see everyone's favorite, i more of a OG player, I preferred the original 3. But i know there's alot of people preferred the remakes, the Resident Evil 1 remakes done amazing.
I always really liked the hunter gammas, because they kinda look like my dog. Now that I think about it, a less serious list about the cutest monsters in resident evil could be a great idea
Actually in the Original RE4 there's an AI mechanic basically if you play on Professional you can trick enemy AI to make them wiff the air, basically you just run towards the enemy and once you see them going to attack you walk back and you won't get hit + if you damage the chainsaw enemy while they are attacking you actually stagger them
Instant kill attacks are never fun. Especially when it comes to some enemies in the resident evil series and even worse by standard enemies. For me i always get chills by Chainsaw enemies, Reapers, Hunters, glasps and lurkers when it comes to instant kill attacks in the RE series.
11:56 if Capcom remakes RESIDENT EVIL 5 this enemy should return along with the "new type of hunter" from the RESIDENT EVIL 5 beta (4.5) concepts , i would like that we had a mix of majinnis with zombies though out the game as we progress, because from what i gather from the 5 first trailer ,the one where Chris is wearing a blue shirt, zombies were going to be a regular enemy in the game since the beginning whether they were T-virus infected zombies or not it is unknown,i also wish Barry would make a return since he was planned to appear in the game through in some stage of the gams either in the beginning , middle or end ,Capcom could use Albert Wesker from RESIDENT EVIL 4 remake in both a future remake of the first game,CODE VERONICA and 5
I wouldn't have included the Globster on this list. They are SO EASY to avoid, even in water. There's also only two of them, and they have a predetermined pattern, which is the same in all difficulties. You can also sit outside the room to see what the pattern is before going in and staying behind it till you reach your objective. It's a bit nerve-racking, yes, but it's not that dangerous. Wall Blisters (RE Rev 1) are very easy to kill, but they are FAR more dangerous than Globsters. Mainly because they can surprise you. They are always on the ceiling, and cannot be killed until they come down. Sometimes they even STAY on the ceiling and never come down, which adds to the annoying part -- You don't know if and when they will drop down. They die in very few shots, but there's a few locations where these things appear while you fighting other enemies. If you don't see them in the roof or they drop down as you are occupied or grabbed by another enemy, well... good luck. Their only attack is an instant kill grab that you cannot free yourself from. They are even worse in Raid Mode, where they are faster and more resilient (especially the boss variants). I'm surprised the Alligators (RE7) were not mentioned (note that I'm talking specifically about the alligators in RE7 and not those in RE5). In a game mode where ammo is basically non-existent and you have to go through multiple water sections going at snail's pace, where the water is filled with multiple one-shot animals that will kill you if you get too close, sometimes with surprise attacks, and sometimes chasing after you from multiple directions... Yeah, I believe they deserve a spot on this list. By far, one of the most dangerous enemies in all of Resident Evil. Prisoners of Insanity (RE5 Lost in Nightmares DLC) also have a rather dangerous instant death attack. If they grab you, you need your partner to save you. If you are by yourself, like in the underground section, where you have no weapons, then you are screwed. Both you and your partner must split up to set traps for these enemies. If either one gets grabbed or even just hit by the anchor, that's game over in most occations. I know this one is not on the main story of the game, but Super Dr. Salvador should be mentioned as well. It only appears on Mercenary mode of RE4, but this guy is way stronger than any chainsaw enemy in the game. It cannot be brought to the floor with melee attacks. Most attacks won't even stagger him. And he has A LOT of HP. Characters like Krauser won't have much of a problem, but characters like Leon and Hunk will. It is also very fast moving and hard to hit, which adds to the difficulty. Definitely one of the most dangerous. Other than that, good list. I haven't played RE Rev 2 yet, and I'm already not looking forward to the Glasps.
You know in re7 chainsaw jack boss fight he has a one shot garenteed kill when he's running at you with his chainsaw scissors open if you dont move he'll cutt your arms and head off
I hate the glasps in Re Revelations 2, I actually had cried when I was younger because I got scared of them because I couldn’t kill them. I don’t cry anymore, but I still hate the glasps man. They’re so annoying to deal with in Barry’s campaign.
Re3 remake's hunter beta is the bane of my existence. I was playing a no save , no death run on hard with only a pistol and was doing so well until I got hit with that instant kill claw attack. F those hunter betas.
Both Revelations have enemies that di instantaneous kills. For me the worst are Scagdeads, that use organic chainsaws in Revelations 1 and Glasps in Revelations 2, that no only are flying enemies, but also invisible to the player and can't be seen in Claire's campaign.
The actual correct way to deal with a Lurker is let it hit you because their weak. If you fight back they’ll instakill you as well. I watched a speed runner of 0 talk about it

I've hated the mutated baby from village
No weapons, only out maneuver
I've gotten stuck on environments a few times
Considered this a boss stay tuned for that I’m a different list
I remember seeing a Lurker on my playthrough of RE0 and well, the Lurker met the receiving end of a Magnum. Killing one of those oversized frogs felt satisfying. 😂
He forgot to mention that #4 Chainsaw enemies also appeared in Resident Evil 6, and yes they did have an instant kill move too. They weren't as scary because their "chainsaw" was actually a mutated extension of their arm, bone and ligaments, making it appear less realistic. Plus, there were so many ways to dodge enemies in RE6.
Another great video 📹 😊🎉love your content keep it up.
Thank you! Will do!
I agree that the Lurker is an awful enemy as it killed me instantly a few times too. Just one time a Lurker also appeared on the small bridge, just when you exit the elevator and enter the Water Treatment Plant, where Rebecca found Billy holding on to a rock in the water.
The Hunter Gamma and Beta were the bane of my existence in my speedruns. Just one mistake and I get killed instantly during RE3 RE
for the first one, I didn't even know it had an instant kill attack. I never got passed Scagdead (the vary first boss in that game). Huge difficulty spike where I wasted an entire day off trying it until I full on gave up
"I can't hit this dang crotch weak point!" *click* "You know what, screw it." *THUNK*
I remember I stopped Rebecca from shooting and the lurker grabbed me as Billy and she just followed me til I got ate.
there are some kind of hunter frog in original RE3 with instant kill…
you meet two with carlos
and two on the wooden bridge in the park(randomly)
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. An amphibian version of the Hunter, nicknamed Frogger/Blocker due to its frog-like
MA-124 Hunter Gamma
Glasps also appear in later Raid Mode levels too where you better have the right tools and beware or your doing it over again
I'm both surprised and happy Ubistvo is not on the list, I always felt it was the laziest example of a one hit enemy in all of Resident Evil
The reapers are so stressful to take out I had plenty of deaths because of those buggers😂
Same lol
I lost count on how many times the Hunter Beta killed me as Carlos in Resident Evil 3 Remake on any difficulty.
After learning about the ODZ, it’s just as hilarious as it would be annoying. Imagine if he was in the other RE games, like 3. Where instead of Nemesis chasing you, it’s just this guy with a face that says “go ahead, shoot me. See what happens”
Those ivy zombies remind me of the Iron Maidens in re4 original and remake.
Every single time Reapers are mentioned someone is always dying to em. They deserve their top 3 on this list
Aligators from the swamp level in resident evil 5 was also a 1 shot enemy
I don't know if it's because I play on Easy or what, but in all the times I played Resident Evil 0 back in the GameCube days, I don't think I ever saw a Lurker. I'd heard abut the game having giant man-eating frogs, but I never believed it because I never encountered one. It wasn't until TH-cam was a thing that I saw proof of their existence.
I played on easy and still got killed by one cause I tried running away from it and its tongue reached me lol. I was pissed cause I hadnt saved in a while
being into vore I would likely get eaten by the hunter gamma, and lurker on purpose occasionally
Imo nothing tops that instant decapitation in RE4 mercenaries by the giant double-bladed chainsaw welding guy in the water map.
Was playing 5 with my friend. and when I told another friend. he goes. "Ohhh Once I spot the reapers. I'm gone. Nope." We stopped playing just before them and haven't gone back since(Mainly because I don't often activate PSN+ unless I know I'm going to use it.)
I didn’t even know of the frog monster in 0. I just finished it and didn’t encounter it wow I was lucky lol
11:46 are we gonna ignore the "RULES OF NATURE" moment?
I think I went through my first 2 playthroughs of 0 without ever seeing a Lurker
Lurkers are also in RE Outbreak they are annoying since at times they can just one shot you
I only died once with the Lurker playing as Billy most of the time I ran through the areas with water and never encountered them the Reaper should have been number 1 because they are so damn hard to kill unless you have a Rocket Launcher
I’ve beaten RE0 several times and I have never once seen this frog, though I know that it exists
Blisters from Resident Evil Revelations are fucking terrifying. They should be mentioned.
Wtf kind of dog do you have?!
@@NerdSpaceGames he is a bit of a biter
Actually in the Original RE4 there's an AI mechanic basically if you play on Professional you can trick enemy AI to make them wiff the air, basically you just run towards the enemy and once you see them going to attack you walk back and you won't get hit + if you damage the chainsaw enemy while they are attacking you actually stagger them
OG RE4 was built with popsicle sticks and elmer's glue
Instant kill attacks are never fun. Especially when it comes to some enemies in the resident evil series and even worse by standard enemies. For me i always get chills by Chainsaw enemies, Reapers, Hunters, glasps and lurkers when it comes to instant kill attacks in the RE series.
Those damn frogs made me stop playing Zero so many times lmao, I agree 100% with you! Those bastards deserve the #1 Spot... W lol
11:56 if Capcom remakes RESIDENT EVIL 5 this enemy should return along with the "new type of hunter" from the RESIDENT EVIL 5 beta (4.5) concepts , i would like that we had a mix of majinnis with zombies though out the game as we progress, because from what i gather from the 5 first trailer ,the one where Chris is wearing a blue shirt, zombies were going to be a regular enemy in the game since the beginning whether they were T-virus infected zombies or not it is unknown,i also wish Barry would make a return since he was planned to appear in the game through in some stage of the gams either in the beginning , middle or end ,Capcom could use Albert Wesker from RESIDENT EVIL 4 remake in both a future remake of the first game,CODE VERONICA and 5
I never had problems with the ivy but I downright hated the reapers
Totally fair that’s why I had reapers so much higher on the list
The mandibulas were easy to deal with in the origanal but in the remake they look harder to kill
Honestly I like the Ivy designs from the original RE2. They looked more creepy.
Re5 reaper’s only instant kill u when your facing them if ur not looking at them then it won’t kill u only hit u
The reaper are the worst for me, I played a lot of resident evil but these one traumatised me 😭
5:15, a Just Eat advert shows up 😬😅
You know in re7 chainsaw jack boss fight he has a one shot garenteed kill when he's running at you with his chainsaw scissors open if you dont move he'll cutt your arms and head off
I hate the glasps in Re Revelations 2, I actually had cried when I was younger because I got scared of them because I couldn’t kill them. I don’t cry anymore, but I still hate the glasps man. They’re so annoying to deal with in Barry’s campaign.
pos. 3 and 2 are scary, but the 1 is funny 😂
Please next the bosses with instant kill
Re3 remake's hunter beta is the bane of my existence. I was playing a no save , no death run on hard with only a pistol and was doing so well until I got hit with that instant kill claw attack. F those hunter betas.
Both Revelations have enemies that di instantaneous kills. For me the worst are Scagdeads, that use organic chainsaws in Revelations 1 and Glasps in Revelations 2, that no only are flying enemies, but also invisible to the player and can't be seen in Claire's campaign.
The Reaper (12:12) are the absolute worst. They are literally the only reason why I have not replayed Resident Evil 5.
Hunter in resident evil outbreak when your over water or in water.
The giant baby monster from the house of donna beneviento
You forgot the giant zombie 🐊 in RE2
You step the wrong way you're 🐊 food
The actual correct way to deal with a Lurker is let it hit you because their weak. If you fight back they’ll instakill you as well. I watched a speed runner of 0 talk about it
