I believe things get better when interest rates are a bit lower. Lower rates allow companies to borrow money more easily in order to invest and grow. Interest rates are still very high atm. I’ve also not seen many purely front end roles being posted. It seems like the vast majority are looking for full stack or backend. I also believe that’s because companies are looking to maintain code bases with fewer employees due to their restricted access to money.
As a developer who working at some government orgnization, I can confirm that the web developers still needed because in government we do everything manually for security reason and also we cant use AI for security and privacy reasons, its impossible to rely on AI in government
Thanks Max... got laid off in September... still trying to figure out what's next... maybe pivot away from Web Dev to Computer Graphics, or Indie Game Dev... I'll see next year... just taking a break for now...

Do you think there will be less demand for 'web developers' and more for development across all platforms? (Like web, mobile, software, robotics/iot ar/vr) ? Thanks for your vids and courses Max
Absolutely. The problem with web developers is that there are too many of them, because it is a very simple field that anyone can learn in a matter of months. The market is extremely saturated with web developers, and it is currently impossible for a new web developer to break through on any freelance platform. This also applies if a new developer decides to get a job with a company. There, he can expect exorbitant demands from an employer who simply has no shortage of new employees today, because there are so many of them that this field has lost any prestige. If you want to break through today, you have to master more advanced developer skills that go beyond web development and are not so easy that the whole of India and Pakistan can learn them in a month. 🙂 So focus on blockchain, machines, desktop software, mobile applications, also consider machine learning, automation and computing. Today you need a specific focus, just focusing on web development is definitely not enough.
@@Biglu193 Elsewhere i saw that right now market is looking for "100x devs", "unicorn devs" that are skilled across various stacks. Frontend web development in of itself isn't that complicated* so one can differentiate themselves in an oversaturated market. * : well, skill difference exists, but frontend web development isn't THAT revarding for skill level above 500 hours.
I’ve been pretty successful freelancing but the amount work it took left me drained that I decided to take a job. Way less money but also way less stressful.
Indie hacking is what people should be mastering if they don't get a job, IMO, you can monetize with ads and have some income. I'm working in my 4th project and hope I can get some decent income, all 3 previous projects are online but kinda dead, people don't want to pay for stuff so I think b2b is better right now and that's what my 4th project is about.
I am a frontend developer with 6 years of experience. I have not been able to find a job for 3 months. Seniors are hired for food

That might change .. it's very possible to run your own AI such that it doesn't publish anything outside of your own department.

Sir, teach me how to become a money-making freelancer please
Hi max, will there be a course on svelte kit with svelte 5?
Yaah its good idea utill you are selling courses
🎉
Some one make a summary for my 0.2 sec attention span
A tech/dev content creator saying its still worth to be a developer because otherwise people will stop watching his content and buying his courses.
What will people do in the future, will we all be influencers or open onlyFans profiles, almost in every field in life is AI...
There’s a lot AI built influencers also, and soon with the advancements of AI for video, onlyFans will also be AI
