There aren’t that many to begin with. The 2023 so far has only 1. All vehicles have recalls for one thing or another. So, I don’t see any major issues going forward. It was recently delayed by CR to be one of the most reliable trucks produced. Not bad!
Toyota stout is not yet designed to America standards to be sold in USA
As a master ford tech I’ve done two maverick side curtain airbag recalls to this day, and I’ve seen many more airbag recalls on other models, in fact I’ve only seen a very few amount of customer concerns with the the main time we work on them is for maintenance or accesories
I have a 2022 Maverick Hybrid, that was delivered early in 2022. My truck was delivered early enough that most of these recalls have affected me. Airbags, under hood fire, rear break lights, hard breaking at low speed, etc. Ford has done all the work at no cost, outside the low speed breaking issue, none of the problems affected my vehicle. The only repair I'm still waiting on in the fire recall, because parts aren't available for several months. The truck has been great though. Ford fixing issues, isn't the same as all trucks being defective. Mine has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years now.
Agree about that. The Grabby Brake problem was never officially declared as a recall. So, it is not on the long list of recalls. It was a TSB, and you can ask a good Ford service shop to update your software. I had mine done about a year ago, and it did solve the problem. You may ask if new Maverick still need the software update. The answer is: I don't know.
Same thing as my 22 Hybrid. Now have a rough idea when cold though. 17K miles.
Toyota has just announced a 1 million car recall!
Both Cv axles went out at 25k miles. Replaced under warranty. Now the heat exchanger pipe need replacement at $1400 since we are out of warranty.
I have 30k miles on mine and not a single issue.
38,400 on mine, no problems.
My 2022 Maverick has run perfect !! Air bag recall took one day. If these trucks are such a piece of crap, then why can I make money from CARAVANA and all the car companies ??? The local Ford dealers all want it also. I love the truck and I get 30+ MPG on a consistent basis. Sour grapes from those who cannot find one ????

This always is an issue with brand new models when they first come out. My dad told me to always avoid buying a new model for the first year. I bought a new Nissan rogue when the first came out and ignored my father advice. Well the HVAC system never worked properly, the rear window leaked water. Lesson learned. Anyways i bought 2023 Maverick hybrid a few weeks ago. So far the only issue I notice is a creaking sound in the dash which is common. So I will see how things go with my Maverick.
I hear the cracking sound also, and ALWAYS think a stone hit the windshield.
I also have high hopes for the Maverick. Just like a golden egg like Tesla,s model 3, with high demand early on there will be quality issues. Also good luck with your Maverick 🙂
So far, there’s only one recall and that’s for turn signal going rapid which has happened on my 2023 Maverick and that has happened only twice so far.
My indicator went rapid on my fusion. Found out this means a taillight out. Sure enough. Fixed it myself.
Do not build all ev until batteries are cheaper to replace and do not combust. Make the all wheel drive hybrid.
Please specify that it is mostly the hybrid that has issues. I have had mine since Nov. 2022 and has never even been in the shop and no recalls!

Imagine ordering a cheap truck and paying a lot of money for it. How are these dealers even allowed to do this?
I had a ‘79 pinto hazard orange when I was a kid always did me a fine job and tougher than most cars out today, doesn’t mean we all don’t know they are crap. To those who are talking about how easy to resale they are it’s the only vehicle from the “big “ 3 in the class. Everyone myself included wants the return of the small truck, but only offering doesn’t mean the best there will be or was ( god I miss s-10’s ). For those who have great maverick experiences I’m happy for you. For those who haven’t I’m sorry.
After the most recent update, my Mav went crazy. Got a powertrain/reduce power malfunction, engine light, pre collision assist not working error codes. Had to have it towed. While at the dealer, they cleared the codes and couldn’t “duplicate” the problem so just returned it to me. Today the dial wouldn’t rotate out of park. It to a couple of turning it off and ons before it would work again. Prior to the update, I had zeros problems. 23 XLT Hybrid
I have the first made '22 maverick hybrid. I can hear a clicking noise when engine is turned off! Anyone heard this or know what it is?
My Mav has been perfect with NO recalls. Chew on that.

My 2023 Maverick hybrid had electrical problems within the first week. My rear window went down on its own and wouldn't come back up. They said the driver door switch cluster was bad and had to replace. 3 weeks later my dashboard went out completely, no lights, gauges or anything. They had to replace the instrument cluster. I sold it back to Ford and got a 2024 Mustang.
I have a 2022 Hybrid. Took it in for all 4 recalls. Been having CV axle problems for last 3 months (31,000 km/20,000 miles). Ford not replacing it because I modified it (professional 2" lift). On lots of Forums I notice that it's a common problem when under load, and uphill. I really don't want to change CV's every 1 1/2 years.
Im hoping to see a spike in series/plugin hybrid popularity. You can get a decently powerful electric motor with the frequency and quick refueling of gas stations.
That’s a pipe dream. If that ever happens it’s going to be somewhere way down the road if ever. Expect more taxes on EVs since they don’t use gasoline. The roads need money for repairs. EVs are heavier and are going to cause more wear and tare to the roads.
My Maverick have five recalls already, but I’m waiting another month, and then I’m gonna have all fixed in one day no problem. I love the truck.
Ive had a few issues, 4 recalls, today was most annoying, steering assist fault, cant turn steering wheel, waiting for tow truck tomorrow, tried fuses n checked fluids, btw these fuses are extra mini, smaller than mini, none at princess auto
23 XL eco boost, 1 year, 55K miles, no issues. Would buy again
have a 23 xlt hybrid was getting 40 to 50 mpg after first oil change mpg went down to 25 mpg not happy
This is why and other things in why I Canceled my 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid pre order even though it’s been built and expected to arrive within 5 days at my Ford dealership in Southern California. I ended purchasing today 2024 Toyota RAV4 SE AWD Hybrid.
I have same model ready for pickup. Original hybrid order September 2022. Not one work from anyone at Ford until truck was ready for pickup. Terrible company and dealership. Deciding weather to.purchase or not. $3400 Ford offer helpful, but my stomach is churning over this purchase.

Why do I believe this commercial was sponsored by chevrolet. I own a two thousand and two maverick, Has been flawless so far. My brother owns it two thousand twenty three maverick also flawless. Several of my neighbors have purchased mavericks with similar flawless opinions. So the question is was this sponsored by chevy or was this monstered by toyota? Because I call bullshit and this one
I have to ask, does "flawless" mean that you have not been called in to the dealer for recalls? I still love the truck, but have to admit that the number of recalls is impressive.
what happened to quality is job 1? so UAW got more money and ford didnt get anything about better quality.

I’d love to see sales data comparing hybrid to the turbo 4. I intentionally chose the turbo for mine; I don’t want anything to do with hybrid or electric.
Ford, GM and Stellantis are no longer in the business of putting out a reasonabley priced, quality product. Their #1 priority is making as much money as fast as possible with the least amount of effort or investment. The days of being proud of having an American car in the driveway are long gone. Now the average Joe settles for a more affordable Korean car. It won't be long before Ford is asking 100k + for these mavericks.
