Not that hard. They really dampened the difficulty with D2's PvP.
Difficulty in PVP is determined by who you are matched against and your own skill level dude. Am I the only person in D2 who verses literal navy seals every single game? People always swing the argument that ‘pvp is too casual, too easy’ while also sweating like mad and dropping 8.0 kd’s every match. Meanwhile I’m on the receiving end being torn to shreds, with the whole team going negative and people leaving halfway through.

Decided to revist the original thorn location in Beyond Light. Bungie have actually removed the entire hidden camp location completely. You can still transmat to the area, but the camp is just not there anymore.
So how dyu get thorn now if u wanted it?
@@azeemfn9296 the machine called exotic something between the two vault machines at the tower.
Although you dont have to complete missions now, it does take quite a large amount of resources and glimmers though.

I did it with a Void Summoner (Adept) and my Dark Below Void Y-09 Longbow Synthesis.
Done it without Word or Epilogue, used a void titan too........painful memories

This exotic requires forsaken if the free to play is wondering why you can’t have accept or obtain the quest from the ashes even though he said just keep pressing your action button even if you don’t see it.

Trying to figure out what is still relevant or not, or how things have changed is tricky.. Especially in a game that seems to revel in sending players out of game to look stuff up!
ETA: Forsaken is currently 14.99 on Steam, for those wanting it. Still not convinced Shadowkeep is worth it, but the first campaign mission in Forsaken is.. a helluva thing..
Praveen Manogaran can you have shadowkeep and but not forsaken but still get it?
Rankan Destroyer I am not sure if it works like that but forsaken is technically a dlc expansion for most of the exotic handcannons and Shadowkeep is a different type of dlc

Thorn is such an underrated little hand cannon. It’s such a monster inside of PvP and I love it!! I feel like it deserves its own catalyst.

I hate doing bounties so I thought I'd give crucible a try for the warlock kills. Shit you not, only one warlock every game I played. Always hunters and God damn Titans.

Something I just realized was that, at the very start of the Lumina quest, we were the new holder of 'Dredgen Yor's original Thorn' and yet we didn't get a Thorn then.

Thorn was my first exotic in destiny, it will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤

I play warlock in crucible..... I haven’t played my warlock in 2 months, the last exact time being last weekend after I beat the zero hour as my hunter, then I swapped to my warlock to beat the whisper

can anyone tell me, what is the best hand cannon as a kinetic weapon i’m using beloved
THXyz current best one to me is sturm since I don’t have ace, lumina, last word, or thorn. Sturm basically is a perfect hand cannon if you’ve got perfect accuracy at headshots. Works as a relationship with drang😂 they reload each other. Drang also loads sturm with overcharge rounds that are about half as deadly as a golden gun if you get a headshot

Genuinely the only classes I have been facing are hunters with maybe one or two warlocks and if you’re lucky a single titan who just so happens to be on your team so you can’t get the plating resource

100% recommend ikelos hc for console, the headshots are a lot more consistent than kindled orchid. Got my step done in comp in a about 2-3 hours.
The cold sweat got me the void step done in like 5 games. It’s such a solid hand cannon
Real Meat highly doubt that considering you need 200-250 kills depending if you are using a void hand cannon, I doubt you averaged 40 kills in a game using the cold sweat

Me and my dad spent about 5 hours doing this strike. RIGHT at the spot where the knights spawn WE ALWAYS DIE! We are trying to get a third person, but we dont have friends sadly.

Tip for anyone struggling. If you have the season pass, try and get your hands on a decently-rolled Optative. It's a stable void hand cannon with a respectable rate of fire and a good perk pool. I got one with Zen Movement and Fourth Time's The Charm, so not the best, but definitely not bad.
The chasm of screams makes me hate life and anything living. It should be renamed to "the chasm of deppresion"

I’m finally getting around to this, looked through my vault for a good void HC, found a Kindled Orchid with Kill Clip and Explosive Payload....
I picked up the quest last night and did it all up to the strike step in The Crucible in one play session, the explosive payload KC really helped after the range nerfs. I’m actually gonna try to solo the strike tonight, just for the personal satisfaction. Love your guides, very straight forward and informative.
The crucible section is not bad for those concerned. My Kindle was a terrible roll, and I was getting 5-10% per match using Kindled, void LMG, and spectral.
I'm glad I stayed for the ending.

I didn't play Competitive at all until the void crucible kills step, got it done in 40 minutes. Thank god everyone in the games I played were doing the same step.

I remember getting the thorn in d1 year one. It was the shit. Best gun in the game and everybody used it. Getting 2 shot kills with the bleed was one of the most satisfying moments for me in all of pvp gaming.

As a warlock main I mist fulfill my duties to help scrubs earn their thorns, even if it tanks my K/D

Hadronic essence: 1 bounty 2 nightfalls
Plasteel playing: 3 bounties then crucible matches
Sapphire Wire: 3 bounties while doing escalation protocol then crucible matches

It's not forcing you to play pvp, do the bounties or the nightfalls or escalation protocol

PAT PAT 1337 the last step requires a lot of it, yes.
Sleeper Thoee indeed, but that step is designed so that it lasts about as long as the rest combined.
The grind is real when playing this game, but veeeeeeerrryyy rewarding.
Crucible is fine after I waterproofed my keyboard
I did the whole thing in the crucible. I recommend that for everyone except for the second step. Titans are kind of hard to encounter in the crucible. The fastest step was the 3rd one or hunters so i definitely would go for crucible on that one. Console users for step 4, I would use an ikelos HC. (only takes about 2-3 hours if you're an average 15-20 kill per match) fairly fast quest takes about 8 hours or less
And my loadout for the first three steps was either spare rations(very good hand cannon) and mida mini tool or the huckleberry and trust.
i stopped playing Destiny when Forsaken came out. But now that they added my baby Thorn back in, that alone gives me reason to come back lol

If you ever played Trials in Season 2, A Cold Sweat is a good weapon to run on console, as it is a 180 RPM hand Cannon, dropped with Void Light, and has Outlaw
I only played crucible for about an hour to two hours for three days. It’s pretty easy, comp makes it a BREEZE so definitely go for it.

Fresh Cakes not true, compared to d1 it’s trash 10/10 times I would use a different gun because thorn isn’t as good. I’m a 1.5 so I know what I’m doing in crucible and I would rather use last word over thorn
Thanks for this info - I actually thought I had the Thorn quest already, but it must be something else because I see here that I have to go into the salt mines to pick it up.
I logged in the other day for the first time in a few months, and had an exotic quest, which mentions weapons of sorrow. I had to kill Hive with Solar, kill Hive Bosses, and something else, then the next step was to get crucible kills, but deaths counter balance any kill points. I have no idea what quest this is, but will have another, more detailed look when I log in next.

Ty Nosaur when I was doing the quest earlier I got hit by a Thorn bullet and seeing the effect on my screen triggered flashbacks to D1
I wish IceBreaker would come back I loved the sound that gun made with every shot, plus it was self refilling ammo which was cool.
Literally would have no issue if it weren't for that 500 point bullshit. 9 hours of miserable PvP just to get it from 29% to 91% Fuck right off bungie.
