Second, Maine is an incredible State full of history and beauty, almost magical in some respects. I’m happy you were both able to enjoy some time together, away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. You really should visit British Columbia, especially if you enjoy places where civilization is completely and utterly absent. Tofino, on Vancouver Island, is an incredible place to visit, with camping, hiking and surfing year round. The Vancouver area is one of the only places in the world where one can go skiing in the morning, then go swimming in the ocean in the afternoon (if you pick the right time of year). There is also Kodiak Island, location of the largest bears in the world. I am not sure if you will ever be able to do so, but I thought I’d float the idea by you if you’re looking to find more places to explore. Lubec is beautiful! I live in Maine about 3 hours North! There's some great camping in the North Maine woods if you want to get adventurous with your van!
I didn't realize your wife was travelling with you at first. She should be on camera more. Did you eat any fish, lobster? What campground did you stay at in Kennebunk/port? Far eastern Maine is really beautiful, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks! She just likes being a long for the ride more than being in the TH-cam videos. Yep we ate lobster the first few days in a row it was really good! The camp was called Sandy pines. great place!
That is the Fort Knox. I live really close by. They housed prisoners there and shot ships from there. It is very haunted. There have been a few paranormal investigators that have done things there
You had bad advice. The places recommended to you pale in comparison to areas you missed, passing within 5 miles of them. Maine is not a day trip, it takes a good week to explore the various sights and cultures Maine has to offer.
I'll definitely be back. We mostly went for bar harbor and Acadia on this trip everything else was just extra, but I'll be exploring a lot more for sure. What would you recommend?
