Thumbs up for the surge protector tip that I was unaware of.

I only learned of that restriction a year ago myself when I was reading up on the rules for bringing drones aboard.

Most cruise lines will not allow any power strips, even if they don't have surge protection. Best to double check with your cruise line to make sure

Great tips. For the travel WiFi router, what is the typical range? I’m wondering if my family is in cabins next to each other, if the router can be deliberately shared among neighboring cabins. Or will the performance be degraded enough so as to be useless.

I think the challenge is that on cruise ships, all the walls are metal so they would absorb the WiFi signal. And since all ships are different, the best thing would be to try and then let everyone here know the results!

Great video! For cable bags, I swear by the Bagsmart range - they do a great selection of single and double sided bags. I've got various bags set up for day trips, weekends and work. Well worth a look.

For the travel router, can it work between different cabins on a ship? Family split between different rooms?

Hmm interesting question. I think the answer would depend on how close the rooms are to each other and how well the signals go through the metal walls. But barring that limitation it should work

Oops I just asked same question. Anyone with experience, please chime in
