I do 4x10hr work weeks and I call the day off hopehood day, the brand and org I build for purpose driven life. I love the inspiration procrastination that builds up all week I've been on hold for a day I do all the things that I've been inspired all week long to do, it's a very rich way to live. There's a lot of pressure to not waste the day, so you develop practice that maximizes each moment.

Hybrid really is the best of both worlds and definitely helps you to find a healthy balance to both your work and home life.💛

The turbulence example was too good. My 2 year old was so excited instead of nervous on a flight the other day. She just sees all the world with pure joy and is something we lose over time, imo.

That was my main take away and something I think I need more of (nervousness/excitement).

This is so true. I got locked out few weeks ago and had my phone inside. I couldn’t remember anyone’s number as embarrassing this sound thats what happened. I went to my neighbor and asked her to give my contacts phone number which she did. We live in a tight family friendly place if it wasn’t for her I would not had access to anybody’s number. Growing up my teachers made all of us memorize pages of poems and now I can’t memorize simple family numbers. Shame on me 😊

6:22 I think this question discounts personal responsibility. Sometimes, even if you have a fund to get you through 3 months of not working, a survival job is necessarry while you look for something more inspiring. Do you agree with this?

If you have ever had to endure a major medical bill or funeral expenses you know what I'm talking about.

I agree. I'm now in this position and have a part time online survival job that makes peanuts but is enough to get me by

I do agree about the technology. Take GPS as an example. We rely on GPS for directions unlike a few years ago where we have to rely on the signboards and our beloved memory. Slowly reducing our brain functions so it’s wise to keep it balance by training our memory ( start by remembering routes and phone numbers) without relying so much on technology 🤔

I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever. Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy, I still make over $22,000 every single week.

The phone number storage is just a consequence of the new technology. Not a new thing as you say. Remote work is in transition. It was done haphazardly, so some did it… poorly, some did it… wisely. The important part is that companies will need to adapt to this growing tool. Minuteearth/Minutephysics/Minutefood started working from home (with an office here and there). They have rules as to how they interact. It's just a thought.

The big problem I am seeing right now with employers wanting everyone back in the office FT is lack of childcare. Childcare workers (at least in my area) make more than most hourly workers - so everyone needs remote work because there is no one to watch their kids. Some people can work a night job while grandma or someone sleeps at the house with the kids, but not everyone has that kind of family support. Or families started homeschooling during the shutdown and want to continue doing that, but the employers have no flexibility whatsoever to accommodate the new family dynamics. Also, a lot of domestic violence survivors escaped their abusers via divorce during the shutdown because having their abusers home 24/7 was dangerously escalating the situation. And now those survivors need to work while continuing to care for and protect their children from the abusive parent. Employers are all complaining that there are no good candidates, and job seekers are complaining that there are no good jobs. And I think that mismatch is just going to continue until someone comes up with a reasonable childcare solution, and/or splitting jobs into PT positions, and a plan for implementing flex hours for struggling families.

$30/day is not enough to survive if you consider shelter a basic need for survival. Family Court certainly would not consider that number sufficient for survival - or for retaining custody of children. I'm sorry Simon, but I think you may be just a wee bit out of touch with the working poor.

But let's be honest, we work for money. If we would have the relevant amount of money, you will not do what we do. At least not the most of us.
