Entire group is so well rehearsed, kudos to Chaka’s conductor. Cannot say enough about everyone in this performance, but of course especially to Chaka Khan for writing this song, for her talent and beauty, and for how she uses her vocal skills in such a special way to make this recording truly stand out. I'd say her voice is virtuoistic as any instrumentalist, opera singer that usually easily gets accolades.. Through The Fire kept me going through times I could barely face.. I'm 63 now, and will always love Chaka's beautiful, powerful, otherworldly at times voice. I wish she could have been around for the wotkd fusion and done other genres too, but hey ho..she has left us forever songs ( respect to the song writers who wrote for her) 🙌💘

Most people do not realize that great songs starts with great guitar reefs. Few tracks consistently need three busy guitarists - this does!
