So, the Switch successor is guaranteed to be revealed in the next 3 months. By August 2024, I gave up on the Switch 2 being revealed in 2024 and Switched to Team 2025

Now the C button makes perfect sense. Maybe to put the right Joy-Con in "Cursor Mode", where it is possible to use the right Joy-Con (and only the right one apparently, since there is no C button on the left Joy-Con) as a mouse. In addition, by attaching the strap to the side, it could reflect this laser to the top of the controller, turning it into a kind of "Wiimote". It would be perfect for pointing in shooting games, such as Call of Duty and MP4 Beyond.
Revealing Switch 2 late last year wouldn’t have hurt Switch sales. Anyone getting a Switch 2 at launch already owns a Switch, and likely more than one tbh.

Or maybe they just wanted that one last holiday season for Switch. And considering they’re down to one system they’re selling rather than having a home console and a handheld, it might’ve been a business decision they felt was necessary, to avoid sales slowing down more than they already had in 2024. I’m no business expert, so I cannot say if it was worth it or not, that’s just speculation.
Next console can play Switch games, so the next console still needs to work with the current joy-con in some form which includes connecting to the next console physically. So anything that goes against this fact you can eliminate as immediately as fake.
If any leaks are true, then that will affect the excitement of the reveal as well. Instead of enjoying the reveal of features (regardless of your reception to it), now it will just be a basic reaction since we know of said feature.
In todays day and age with 3D printers & Ai, one of a professional field can make anything look real. Indeed, this looks real but we will have to wait.
If it's fake - it's probably CGI or AI. I'm leaning away from 3D printing because I'm not seeing any telltale signs of it (layer lines and certain imperfections that 3D prints tend to have, also way too high detail). But I'm leaning towards this is real.

The thing that immediately comes to mind (where a mouse would be beneficial) would be menu navigation and/or first person mode. What if, the C button Changes a Joy-con into mouse mode? or Connect a wireless mouse?

In all honesty I don't have much sympathy for Nintendo. There comes a point too far where you shouldn't wait too long in the modern day and if the recent batches of leaks are real, that's on them, and it'll continue to be on them if they don't reveal it very soon. It's just more Nintendo Switch. It's going to have a bigger screen, a few neat new features, games are going to run better especially at higher resolutions via Nvidia's DLSS, but at the end of the day it's still a Nintendo Switch. Nintendo games are still going to be Nintendo games with a bit of a bump to graphics. Nintendo has never been entirely about pushing graphics, but the most recent push with the latest Pokemon game, Scarlet and Violet, showed that Nintendo is at least trying. The games were buggy, the game still sold, and Pokemon fans enjoyed the hell out of it. I want to see Nintendo truly shift gears with their brand new Switch 2 by delivering super high quality visuals, that utilizes every single watt of power they can squeeze out of it, and I don't think we are going to see it happen. Maybe some huge leaps here and there, but it might not be until 2026 to 2027 when Nintendo developers feel absolutely comfortable pushing this thing, as well as if the added development time is worth the additional processing costs. When it comes to 3rd Parties titles, developers are going to have a field day porting games to the Switch 2 no problem. But, are you going to choose your Switch 2 to play that next hot title, or will you stick to your Xbox Series X or PS5 that will beat the Switch 2 in terms of raw performance? Will I personally be purchasing games on the Switch 2 that underperforms when compared to my Xbox Series X, PS5, or my beefy Gaming PC? Hell No! What makes it so weird is that since switch has detachable controls theres plenty of ergonomic options to try at a wide variety of prices. Yet he is constantly complaining about the ergomomics.
4:14 - If it could be used like a mouse, strategy games and shooters would almost certainly add support for it. Using a mouse with those games is so much better and more accurate. I also know of a few indie games that try to use the touch screen on the Switch, and they could greatly benefit from being able to use a mouse when the Switch is docked. Also there have been some games that use the gyros to act as a mouse, and the JoyCons drift a lot. I can also see games that are ported over from PC (like No Man's Sky) that work great with mice. The list of games that would benefit from the JoyCons acting like a mouse is larger than you think. This also means more games will start having support for USB mice - which the current Switch actually already supports! If Nintendo actually pulls off being able to use their JoyCons as mice - this could potentially be revolutionary. The gap between PC gaming controls and console controls has been a known problem for a long time, and the mouse is the reason for that gap.

Switch 2 already being revealed by leakers. Next few detailed photos of the dock, joycon michoscheme, C button function, game cartridge, box. We'll know everything before they make it official. But that's what you get for dragging this announcement for so long.
Manufacturing facility for Switch 2 got flooded last year which greatly haulted production. They got it back on track in but that delayed many things down the pipeline since.
Its also confirm that people do anything for views if they're leaking information thats not ready for public and they should be fired and go find a job on social media.

I understand your frustation but what would've changed if they revealed it last year? It would've still launched after March 2025 and their game lineup til then would've been the same. Agreed, Nintendo dropped the ball big time if this turned out to be real. Personally, I lost all hype last September already, xant care much anymore and just waiting for them to reveal the machine at this point I'm probably not even gonna get the machine on day one. I'm very pessimistic in regards of release of Switch 2, and honestly don't see it release until late summer(September) or even holiday 2025 (November) I just hope to be wrong on that. What makes it so weird is that since switch has detachable controls theres plenty of ergonomic options to try at a wide variety of prices. Yet he is constantly complaining about the ergomomics.

4:14 - If it could be used like a mouse, strategy games and shooters would almost certainly add support for it. Using a mouse with those games is so much better and more accurate. I also know of a few indie games that try to use the touch screen on the Switch, and they could greatly benefit from being able to use a mouse when the Switch is docked. Also there have been some games that use the gyros to act as a mouse, and the JoyCons drift a lot. I can also see games that are ported over from PC (like No Man's Sky) that work great with mice. The list of games that would benefit from the JoyCons acting like a mouse is larger than you think. This also means more games will start having support for USB mice - which the current Switch actually already supports!
If Nintendo actually pulls off being able to use their JoyCons as mice - this could potentially be revolutionary. The gap between PC gaming controls and console controls has been a known problem for a long time, and the mouse is the reason for that gap.

Switch 2 already being revealed by leakers. Next few detailed photos of the dock, joycon michoscheme, C button function, game cartridge, box. We'll know everything before they make it official. But that's what you get for dragging this announcement for so long.

If the Joycon can be used as a mouse it would be a huge deal for maker games like Mario maker

Manufacturing facility for Switch 2 got flooded last year which greatly haulted production. They got it back on track in but that delayed many things down the pipeline since.

Like ummm we already know they waited too long. There no surprise everyone is running to find ways to leaks parts of the system as fast as they can. We're going on 8 years here. Not to mention all the games that leak before release Nintendo has had a leak problem for a long long time. I do not think they care as much as people seem to think.
I just hope to god right now that the games don't get leaked big time!

I understand your frustation but what would've changed if they revealed it last year? It would've still launched after March 2025 and their game lineup til then would've been the same. The only thing that would be different is the narrative but it barely matters when we're like the 1% of Nintendo fans that actually look at leaks/rumors.
If any of these leaks are real and they have a real switch. Why don’t they just fire it up and show us!!

Not excited at all for the next Nintendo console so far. The leaks are not helping as well. Now that I’ve seen these joy cons.. ouch! 😢I’ll stick with my steam deck for a while and will probably not get the new console at launch as well. Let’s see if they can convince me otherwise. The best way would be with a brand new Zelda game.

I totally agree, unless I see Koizumi holding it in a Nintendo presentation, it's not real. And yes, the believable serial number is nothing in terms of internet larping. That's mere child's play compared to the insane levels of faking that have gone on in the past over God knows what, for literally no reason at all.

Agreed, Nintendo dropped the ball big time if this turned out to be real.
Personally, I lost all hype last September already, xant care much anymore and just waiting for them to reveal the machine at this point I'm probably not even gonna get the machine on day one.
I'm very pessimistic in regards of release of Switch 2, and honestly don't see it release until late summer(September) or even holiday 2025 (November) I just hope to be wrong on that.
Sadly more often then not my gut feeling is right on these things, and really hope to be wrong this time...
