I’ve been using my leftover candle wax, after the wick is done, from all my B&BW candles in those silicone molds for years! Makes a great little xmas gift or stocking stuffer (birthday etc) I’ve also used the wax in smaller tea lights with new wicks 😊
@NikiFM214 That’s a great idea to reuse leftover wax. Thanks for sharing that. As expensive as BBW candles are now it will be nice to get even more use with them. I love that idea.

I love these ideas. One note, if you're burning the candles in metal all the way down, make sure to put them on a plate or something heat proof. A friend scorched their table with a candle in a tin when it got too hot.

Hi Megan, I am happy to see you on a video making candles with cookie cutters. I was watching a video of Shannon the other night and I cannot believe it but her handle just escaped me. I just finished working 3 12 hour days in a row at my job and I am having a senior moment. Anyway she was remaking candles using the pillar candles from the Dollar Tree pouring them into different containers and all of a sudden I had an idea! 🥰 I thought to myself I wonder if I were to make cookie cutter Christmas trees and red cardinals using cookie cutters for candles if it would work but,I was unsure of how to do the wicks. OMGOSH this idea of mine was just two days ago and here you are! I am in a 3 day craft sale in November and I am selling jewerly, my fabric creations but I have wanted one more idea and I thought of mini candles from cookie cutters in nice clear bags. My sister makes holiday soaps and I think if she and I paired up and I made candles would be cool. Her Christmas tree soaps are awesome and you should see her soap ghosts. I live in a very tiny (stepping stone/giant shadow box) 610 SQ FT flat (hope to buy a small house next summer) so I do not have lots of room to store things. My linen closet top half is linens and towels and bottom half craft supplies. I made myself shelves out of clear Dollar Tree cubes that were being sold at the Princeton University student store and with wire ties I made nice shelves for between the pedestal sink and the thrown. But, I mentioned storage ordeal because, I wonder if there are ideas to reuse the glass containers for that the candles come in. Or I guess just put them in the recycling container. I LOVE your JOY candle. My Mom's favorite word was JOY. For her it stood for Jesus Others Yourself. My Mom was my best friend I ever had. She passed away from Pancreatic cancer the day before her birthday in 2021. She was full of life, never had headaches, never a cold or a flu and walked a mile every other day. Her Dr said she was an anomaly for Pancreatic cancer. We lived together and we had the best life together. She would be reading on the back porch and I would be out there with my glue gun going working on crafts. She had always wanted a nautical porch but she was on a budget and didn't know where to began to create it. When she wasn't home I made nautical pillows on my sewing machine. Had a beachy rug from Wayfair delivered to my job, I had beachy candles from Dollar Tree, I added many cool other things I made. One Saturday while she napped in the house I created a beautiful beachy porch with her shells from Sanibel Island and all I bought or created and I put on a fresh pot of coffee at 3 pm to have on the porch and read. While in the kitchen she could smell the coffee all the way into her bedroom. She came out and said how great it smelled. The day was getting cooler with rain coming I said let's have coffee on the porch. It was a very hot day and she said sounds good. I couldn't wait for her to go out. I set up a little tray with our cups sugar and cream. She went out first thank God I wasn't carrying the tray yet with hot coffee she screamed with excitement BECKY DID YOU DO THIS! She was so very excited. While I was writing to you, I just had another idea for candles with cookie cutters. I wonder if they exist I have never seen any. Star fish, sea horse, fish shaped cookie cutters would be awesome as candles. I have made candles out of the northern clam shells from the Jersey shore and the deep konchels from Sanibel. Seeing this video of your's today Sunday, Oct 21 has my wheels going. I haven't been to a Dollar Tree since early spring. Having to move out of my Mom's house and back to renting I have been on a tight budget so I am shopping my stash all the time. Tomorrow on my lunch hour from work I will run to the Dollar Tree. Not even there 2 years. It's brand new and huge it use to be a Rite Aid and it's free standing so you can imagine it's size. Sorry for the novel. Thank you for these wonderful ideas. What great ideas for candles, i was thinking of doing candles of my own but i want to do something unique something no one else has tried yet, these are some very good ways to use up old candles you have laying around your home. I love the scent of candles in my home especially during the Christmas holidays. We have just moved to our new house this past week and we are very tired and i am in so much body pain right now i am sure my body is screaming your not supposed to use that muscle that way. Thank the lord this is our final move, we are where we want to be in our golden years and we are young enough to enjoy it. I missed seeing you on You tube so i am so glad to see you back again. Your so fun and spunky you make it a joy to watch your channel. I am sure all You Tubers find it very hard to come up with content for your videos and that is a pressure on you. The reason you start something like this is because you enjoy sharing things with others so if you are finding it hard to inspire yourself then it becomes more of a challenge and more like a chore than something you enjoy. its good to take a break once in a while it makes it all the more special when you come back online again. Have you ever though about doing a vlog, like a day in the life of Megan the person. i watch all sorts of video's from gardening to design to funny videos on animals to crafting in almost every category from stamping to candle making to soap making and the list goes on. I have thought about doing you tube but i have a severe Anxiety disorder and the pressure would be enormous for me i have been told by family i should do seasonal stuff but others have that covered. I just made candles tonight. I melted three white pillar candles from DT. I bought two of the small ceramic pumpkins that have the covers with them. I melted three pumpkin scented wax melts and mixed them in with the white candle wax. I poured one pillar candle and a bit more from the second pillar candle into the two pumpkins. I had already glued the base of the wick in them. I bought two clear glass bowls from DT. I washed them and, when they were dry, I took them outside and spray painted them with stone effect spray paint. After they dried, I turned one upside down and put E 6000 glue on it. I turned the other bowl right side up and glued them together. I used the rest of the one pillar candle and the full one, added warm apple pie essential oil to the melted wax. I poured them into the bowl with the wick in it. They look great and they smell wonderful! Thanks for this tutorial. You've given me even more ideas.

Love the candle ideas! I love your ideas at the end to make bucket candles. I always keep hold of "almost done" candles, melt the wax, and then put them in old jam jars to make a mega candle (keeping like scent themes together, of course). It's slow going, burning through the regular candles to add to the mega candles, but once they're done, I won't have to buy candles for awhile! lol Please keep up the great creative work!
What great ideas. I really liked the candy corn candle even though I do NOT like the candy. I also have said candy as filler around black roses in a vase. So glad you are making videos again, love your style.

I wish one of my DT stores sold silicone molds, but I've never seen any, and I live within 45 minutes of 5 different stores. 😢 I love these hacks though! I actually used DT pillar candles to make my mother-in-law handmade wax melts. I did pink and purple, and I just used silicone molds that I had on hand. They turned out SO cute, and I had so much fun making them. I want to make more. 😂
LOVE all the ideas! I have missed you! :) Pick up some glass measuring cups, or glass coffee pots (NO METAL) from the thrift store to use only for melting wax because you really don't want to use those for food again.

Good tip. I always burn candles on a trivet, even candles in a Jar. I ruined a table burning a bath & bodyworks candle a few years ago. Never again!

It's slow going, burning through the regular candles to add to the mega candles, but once they're done, I won't have to buy candles for awhile! lol Please keep up the great creative work!
What great ideas. I really liked the candy corn candle even though I do NOT like the candy. I also have said candy as filler around black roses in a vase. So glad you are making videos again, love your style.

I wish one of my DT stores sold silicone molds, but I've never seen any, and I live within 45 minutes of 5 different stores. 😢 I love these hacks though! I actually used DT pillar candles to make my mother-in-law handmade wax melts. I did pink and purple, and I just used silicone molds that I had on hand. They turned out SO cute, and I had so much fun making them. I want to make more. 😂

LOVE all the ideas! I have missed you! :) Pick up some glass measuring cups, or glass coffee pots (NO METAL) from the thrift store to use only for melting wax because you really don't want to use those for food again.
