Under Suzuki 3 Rotor FD RX7 Testing - DKM Challenge and Zummy Racing Event at Tsukuba Circuit

- January 14th 2023 DKM Challenge and Zummy Racing event at Tsukuba Circuit TC2000.
We're back! In this video we head out to Tsukuba Circuit to photograph the DKM Challenge event in the morning, and the Zummy Racing event that was held just after in the early afternoon. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal, and intermittent rain throughout the day kept the track surface wet, allowing just a small window to get a dry line in late morning.
The main goal of the day was to check in with Kengo and Under to see how the FD was progressing. The brothers took turns behind the wheel of the car putting it through its paces. Although, Under said it was difficult to find out how the car feels in the wet.

i have been wanting one for some time.ever since i saw it perform so well on hot version's gunsai. but my love for FR layout cars always seems to get in the way.

What a weapon! 3 rotor turbo definitely seems like the sweet spot in the FD chassis. Someone wanted to buy my caged and stitch welded FD last week- I politely declined. It's amazing when everything is at the bare minimum what a capable track car it can be with the stock setup. Arigato for all the epic content!
But why is it the sweet spot? A 13b keeps the weight behind the front shock towers and more balanced. Wouldn’t adding another rotor change it negatively. But still better than most cars.
That Aqua next to Ouichii's RX-7 is incredible too.

I'm not quite sure, they were in the DKM event but they haven't published any entry list or results yet. Honestly looks like a Kansai area car
@@NaritaDogfight hopefully they release some type of info. I actually think that car is a good balance between street/time attack. Very interested on how it did at this event and, seeing what they did with that build.

No, usually the more enthusiast level builds won't, especially if they're still street driven
I'm curious why many cars can race without a roll cage?
Japan Is way more relaxed on safety ie cages etc
Also the lower classes where the cars are still street driven generally won't have them.

I'm assuming you're talking about under. If so no, it'll be at attack in February (just as a display). The rx7 is his brother's car.

Wow, stock FD turbos and still lapping tsukuba in the low 57 is amazing.
I HATE Bugatti's....... BUT I really wanna see one built like this. I wanna see a full build on a Bugatti. Full custom carbon body, fully built engine, Stripped, Sequential.... The whole deal.
