      haha its crazy how much more interactive TH-cam is though over IG, and FB is essentially dead for growth and interaction

    Awesome. Very cool to see the brakes being bed in without the wheels. I've never thought about doing this, much work way better.

    Quick comment on that R32 and the fuel, nitrous, driver cabin proximity...NEVER in a million will this pass tech in this hemisphere.
    I'm amazed at the yellow chop top EG as well... I love it.

      A lot of the Japanese cars that have come over to aus for WTAC have had tech issues because of their lax rules in Japan. Most of the top teams now are generally pretty good in this respect.

    I love how fun the Japanese have with liveries and such for race cars, at 06:03 a race car with a Houshou Marine livery, hopefully they were blasting "I'm your treasure box" in the pit. :P

    Insane footage as usual mate. What special license do you need to run time attack at maybe lesser known tracks? I have a fully gutted/caged LHD FD that I'm bringing to Japan with me and am hoping to do all my own composite aero work and have the engine built over there.

    • @Xavi_FD3S
      @Xavi_FD3S ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NaritaDogfight Okay, let me rephrase that haha. What I meant is that some “high-spec” FD’s such as Kiyo’s for example, choose not to run one, even though they’re running 53’s. At that level, wouldn’t just make sense to go for it? Or is it that they just don’t want the build to get that crazy?

    • @NaritaDogfight
      @NaritaDogfight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Xavi_FD3S ah, gotcha. Kiyo used to have a large diffuser last year. It's possible they're trying different flat bottom setups

    Those Z33/34 will never hit a good time. Why? The engine is too heavy. Heavier than even an old amg v8 s-class / e-class. Almost 80kg more if I'm not mistaken. And it's position at the front axle... Which is front bias...

  • @amp888

    I just found your channel through the TH-cam recommendations yesterday and I'm really enjoying your videos; being able to see these cars close up and in detail in the pits in particular is fascinating. Thank you! :)
    I was wondering, do you know how the custom aero parts are tested? Do they use suspension load data to compare, for example, or is it "just" down to the laptimes and driver feedback? The idea of developing custom aero parts and trying to integrate them into these cars is probably the thing which interests me most about them.

    • @NaritaDogfight

      Appreciate the follow!
      It's a mix. Some cars utilize sensors to measure data, some use wind tunnels, others test in real time on track and adjust

    I love seeing this! Can I ask why most of these time attacks seem to be in winter? Wouldnt it be easier to get better tire temps during the warmer months?

    • @NaritaDogfight
      @NaritaDogfight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      colder air is more dense, which generally equals more power and more aerodynamic downforce. Tire warmth is usually easily mitigated.
