Thank you again for your very detailed video on these planners! I do love these planners also. I only have the passport inserts because the common book wasn't available. I think the inserts might work better for my TN anyway. I would love the Weeks size also.
All of he colors are beautiful. I have the B6 Mist/gold and a B6 notebook in quartz they are beautiful- I also use a Hobonichi weeks but love the layout and will probably get an N2 instead for 2025! I also prefer the compact
I wish she had undated so I could make mine Sunday start. I’m thinking to get a Standard notebook from her, but they’re all sold out rn. 😢 It’s all okay. Maybe it’s a sign I need to keep with my stash of narrow inserts, and use them up.
I'm pretty certain she's launching undated as well but I don't know that it would be before year-end. But I believe she's planning to launch them in all the sizes/styles. She will restock her notebooks - I think they had to get the planners to get more notebooks produced.
Nice haul!! I got the B6 and N2 during the pre-order, and went a little overboard yesterday during the RTS launch. I have an N1 vertical and N1 horizontal as well as a Passport Compact Horizontal coming now lol.
You haven’t missed out. The launch is this evening (8 pm EST). She put the listings up so people could see the pics and details to plan their orders (folks were complaining she took them down 😏). Sorry for any confusion but you didn’t miss out.
This is a very useful video. I'm not fan of white paper (very popular in these days xd), I prefer cream paper, but not yellow as the one of the Hobonichi weeks. 🤓
Glad it was helpful! I’ve always since I was a kid preferred white 🤷🏻♀️ but I think it’s because color shows up better and pops better that way. But also I can use any corrector tape 😂 Have you seen my video on the CreffectivePaper planner? It’s natural marshmallow paper so it’s ivory vs the bright white of the SI or yellow of the HW
I really love the A5 full year size I got, but I regret getting the full year weeks size. I should of ordered the compact one. It's just way too junky. I will still use it and make it work, but had to order a different cover. The one I got doesn't fit. (which I will use on my weeks size notebook instead). I really want to find kits for the A5 that I like.
Yea I think the full-year in the smaller sizes is very chunky. You could destash it though and snag the compact tomorrow -- I know some really need the page a day. One positive of the SterlingInk A5 is that it fits Hobonichi Cousin kits so there's TONS of options!
I couldn’t decide and ended up with the compact for this reason. I wondered how thick it would be! I’m sure if you snag a compact tomorrow, you’d be able to sell the full online
thanks so much for this video , i just bought a TN camel cover from travelers company and im just thinking about getting a TN standard planner from sterling ink or stick with the inserts
Both are awesome 👏🏻 I shared the new TN sleeve from LaurenPhelpsDesigns and it’s awesome for your standard(N1) compact or the inserts/booklets in a TN.
They are just so gorgeous! I know I'm getting a N1 compact but the colors! I'm still deciding on that. The Weeks size planner, imo, is the least suited to the 500+ pages full year version. From what I've seen, most people who journal everyday have supplemental journals, notebooks and diaries along with their Weeks, making it a bit unnecessary. I don't even think the Mega has enough pages per day. Her compact size is the perfect middle option with more usable space per page than both Weeks and Weeks Mega.
I love your detailed planner videos. Even when I have watched other sterling Ink videos, I always enjoy your input. Right now I’m in a b6 undated half year, and I really love it. I’ll be in it until end of march, so I have a lot of time, but it’s so hard to not start thinking about what I’ll be in for April! I am hoping she will offer more undated, in all the sizes! But if not, maybe I’ll snag a 2024 book, and redate it. Do you think the font is too dark to write over with new dates? I need to stop thinking about April! It’s just too far away! Hahaha. Thanks again
I don’t think it’s too dark. I find it’s pretty easy to redate her planners or even do different layouts in their weeklies without much fuss. I believe she’ll be offering more undated in the future. From what I heard.
@@JustScribble oh thanks. That’s good to know about redating. And yes I had heard you can easily adapt to horizontal as well! It’s an amazing time for planners we have so much offerings, it’s exciting and almost overwhelming too. I feel blessed to have such “problems” lol.
Thanks for the review, yours is the first video where that gorgeous green colour actually looks green. In the comparison with the hobonichi weeks, can I ask as if the Sterling in really has more functional space in the weekly spreads. I have paused the video to count a number of times, but I am thinking I must be mistaken. As it seems that the number of rows is the same in both the hobonichi and the sterling ink, how do the notes pages compare in terms of rows? Am trying to decide if I want to set an alarm for the middle of the night to try and snag one!
I’ll need to count rows but the SI weekly has more functional space because 1) the page is bigger - it’s the size of the HW book edge which is a little larger than the HW page itself 2) the dates and month are smaller leaving more place to write and 3) there is no quote at the bottom so you gain all that extra space to use for actual writing. So the full page is usable where in the HW is not. Most HW kits cover up that quote with decor but in the SI you can use the full page for writing. That said, the grid spacing on the HW is 3.6mm where the SI is 3.7mm for the weekly pages and notes pages.
@@JustScribble Thanks for that, I guess was what I wanting to know (and was hoping was the case) was if that the extra space meant room to expand my layout on the blank pages, but if both only have 42 rows, then it‘s not that much of an upgrade for me. I would still be interested in whether the back pages have more or fewer rows than the 49 in the hobonichi. It is gorgeous, but I sadly don‘t think I can justify spending the money for it this year if it‘s not offering me extra layout space than the hobonichi I‘ve already bought. Will have a think for 2025 though.
Ok, honest question, I looked and half year is $66. I'm new to Sterling Ink. What is the most compelling reason to spend that much? I've got the list of pros and cons from other videos. I ask because the sale is on today, but there's also papertess and Aura Estelle and hobonichi.
Part of it comes down to your planning style - which layout works best for you. The B6 SterlingInk, PaperTess and AuraEstelle are all different layouts. PaperTess and AuraEstelle are more similar because they have dailies after the weekly overview where the SterlingInk is a true vertical like the HobonichiCousin. I like AuraEstelle ok but oddly found my pens to shadow more in their planners. Papertess is very nice but I haven’t used it (just shared on IG earlier this year and did a giveaway). But really it comes down to which layout you want/need and if you want the half year. I love a half year for a fresh start and less bulky planner. But it’s not for everyone. I hope that’s helpful.
@@JustScribble Very helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time. The Aura Estelle "sale" was not very promising, so I'll pass on that, though they had some interesting layouts. A Weeks, Daily. Never seen that. I'm new to TRP planners, and I love the Cousin and the TRP, but for all the reasons that people choose Sterling Ink over the Hobonichi (the colorful pages and quotes, extras), I am definitely going to get a SI today and go from there. At the very least get a notebook for journaling. Thanks again.
I am KICKING myself for not buying the horizontal in the preorder. I’m really hoping I can snag one on Friday or in the BST page. 😬 I’m almost willing to get the compact just so I can get the horizontal weeks. Thanks so much for your video! Super excited for your planner coming out next year also!!! 💛
That's a blast from the past. I remember the little song in the commercials. Around 4th grade or so? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Never sell it, it's adorable. ❤
This is the absolutely best, most detailed review ever! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!

Very nice! They are so lovely and I just love the clean layout - it's so fresh! You picked wonderful covers!!! Those are two of my favorites!
I don’t think you can go wrong with those colors!
they are just beautiful! I wish I hadn't purchased a weeks and purchased a Sterling Ink weeks size instead!
Oh no! I understand though. This is so lovely 🥰
I also am preferring the whiter paper without the coloring - more versatile
Yes! I agree :)

Thank for sharing!!!! New to sterling ink and this helps so much since she has many different styles.

No I’m not. I have a monchichi and it sits with it as a collection 🥰
