    I truly envy all of you structured people. My life is basically dictated by chance, apart from the working hours.
    What I have learnt is that everybody should sit idle and stare at the sky or grass or trees for at least 30 minutes each day, even if at first you just doze off. Preferably 1 hour. Better still 2 hours. Just do nothing in that time. The amount of peace and self-introspection that happens in that time is amazing. You just let your brain do all the problem solving when you are awake, watching it prioritize, discard, drift, theorize, sort, declutter and so on. Also let's you know your true priorities. Also, any nasty work problems that you are stuck with, this is when the elegant solution hits. This is the true 10x block. Or 100x or whatever in marketingspeak.

    To settle 10x vs 2x confusion:
    10x are goal related tasks. Like if I want to write a novel as a goal, the steps to do so would go in my 10x category and i should strive to do one of these a week, as she said.
    2x are things that need done, like maybe my household tasks, car taxes, etc, but aren't goal related.

    • @benz.mp3
      @benz.mp3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Can a 10x goal be work-related? The examples in the vid all show what look like to be non-work-related tasks. I don't think I have enough hours in the day to block out 2 hours to work on personal goals AND still get an 8-hr-workday AND spend time with my family.

    • @ExcaliburOfYuletide
      @ExcaliburOfYuletide หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@thisnthat42I'm not sure. I think they just as easily could be called "goals" and "chores", but it might have to do with "energy" and "power ups", like gamer style? I really have no idea. I'm just speculating. 😆

      I think the idea is work goals get worked on during work hours. If you have chosen to do more than 8 hrs a day then sure I guess you could make work goals your after hours goals @@benz.mp3

    Just wanted to add my 2 cents and say that 10x, 2x, and B.B makes perfect sense to me (also funny since so many comments say they don't understand... That has now pushed me to add a comment saying I DO understand which I imagine helps engagement/algorithm stuff, so ironically maybe because you added something people don't understand easily it may lead to more views).
    Anyway, it's actually helped clarify something I've been having trouble with in my own planning. This difference between big like life ✨passion purpose soul magic ✨ things and things that are needed for like basic life maintenance, and then de B.B is new to me, but actually seems like a super cool idea. To make an ideal plan, and then add what actually happened in reality (and to PLAN for actually planning in the calendar) so it makes it super clear where the deviations are, never thought to do that. So yeah. Thanks!

    • @Strawation
      @Strawation 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      What do they mean then? I think a lot of people get what they're meant for, but why are they called what they are? It's making the category system more confusing, so everyone is just questioning themselves with "does this belong here or there?". Assuming malicious intent would have me speculating it's a way to push you to get the digital kit. Assuming ignorance would just have me going "but why" the whole day.

    • @pamela7411
      @pamela7411 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@Strawation Lol well I try never to assume malicious intent (though as I wrote this I saw the pinned comment pointing us towards the kit for more clarity on 10x and 2x, which proves your point haha). Still, it's not malicious, nobody is forcing me to get the kit. They're just doing what they need to grow their business.
      I guess for me the naming of it doesn't really matter, it just makes sense to me conceptually. So I think something that's needed in that case is observing that you're letting the 'names' hold you back. You could also just decide for yourself what they mean and get on with it. Or name them something else if that feels better. Otherwise it just seems like another way to procrastinate.
      If you get it you get it right? The meaning has been conveyed, so what does it matter what it's called? It's just the ability to be able to schedule blocks of time called 10x or 2x or B.B. You just also just name them Super, or Minor. Or Important and Maintenance. What matters is that YOU know what you should be doing during those blocks. :)

    • @rayanah9039
      @rayanah9039 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@radicant7283 10x has bigger impact on your life and goals than 2x, also 2x tends to be much simpler than 10x but not necessarily ( an outlier example: studying calculus for the finals (2x) is more complicated than like downloading and installing an app that's necessary for programming in my case(10x) ).

    This is the video about the system that I’ve made for myself in my brain without even knowing it - loving the clarity, cohesiveness and flow of this explanation :) And the hoodie skull is the best thing ever :D
    I’ve been using a «stage based» approach to my tasks, analogue as in strips of paper on my studio/workshop kitchen cabinets, moving them back and forth based on what stage the task is in (these are either projects or orders from customers, I’m running a web design company *and* a roller skate shop at the same time, + started my channel in october last year) - long story, lots to do, but blocking like you have done in the calendar, and then doing the tasks analogue and referring to my task list (with stages) based on my blocks in my calendar is how I’m keeping track of everything, as well as color coding tasks in terms of urgency.
    Not yet perfect perfect, a digital touchbased screen for moving the tasks around would have been great - but for now having the *when* to do tasks of certain types (calendar), and the «what to do» tasks to move around every morning and before leaving work is great - thanks for this vid, it kind of explained my system to myself :)

      10x are tasks that bring you closer to a certain goal (THAT YOU SET FOR YOUSELF ❤) some other people might call them action steps or project steps
      Example: "I wanna run 5 k"
      Every run you plan into your calendar is a 10x task
      2x tasks are life admin tasks - meaning household stuff like laundry, but also sending away letters, writing letters, paying invoices and all that stuff
      Things you really have to do, and often don't take a ton of time, but do not bring you closer to your goals 😊
      I hope that helps ❤

    Am...am I the only one who saw "hang myself" 8:21 and had to do double take?
    Turns out yeah it was just me seeing stuff, wild.

    this must be the most uncool era in history, where people spend the free time in their lives alone, looking at videos on how to work more efficiently…

      Should have been briefly explained in the video as it really made it hard to get my head around the concept as I felt like I was missing a crucial piece of context.

    99% of people? How many people were in your sample size? I feel that you're probably not aware of how aware you are about that, but I'd say that 99% of the people who think that 99% of the people are doing something, are almost certainly wrong about that figure. My experience with people who say 99% of people are doing something... 100% of those people saying 99% of people doing things, are *at best* being hyperbolic with knowledge of that, but more often, it seems *unlikely* they are aware of how *unrealistic* such claims are. Even, "most" which might be true, but usually is unfounded... No idea why Google makes it so hard to say, "you know, I don't like this."

      @@SimieIriarte 99% when n=1 means... You're not even *guessing* you're fucking lying. Glad you're honest about that. Nice proving you're willing to admit that you're really just a grifter.
