    Looks great Paul! Did two racks today and used your method, look for pullback and the bend instead of by temp. They were the best racks yet!

    These pellets seem interesting because they are not oak/alder based. As per the package cherry hickory and maple. So in theory these should be a tad different than most other brands

    Hi PQ. Glad to see you back on the pellet smoker. I have a new toy. I’ll send you a pic later today or tomorrow. Father’s Day. Oldest daughter said she’ll take me out to supper. I have a rack of baby backs defrosted. I’ve tried a 50/50 mix of PitBoss competition and charcoal pellets. For my taste I prefer straight competition blend. Not a fan of the charcoal pellets. Dang those beef ribs looked good. From your perspective of your yard I can see why you need a bigger yard. When you’re ready you may want to consider an acreage.

      How did you find it?

      The JD charcoal is very good. Holds temp nicely and burns extremely hot if you’re looking to sear something.

      Hey Jeremy, you can always order them right from Jealous Devil’s website and they’ll be shipped right to your door. I believe it’s free shipping within the US

    I noticed you always have foil in your pitboss. Do you not use the sear plate feature?

    • @paulsq_
      @paulsq_  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Alan, I don’t really use the sear plate feature mainly as I have charcoal grills I prefer to use for searing. I have used the sear feature and it works good only complaint is the searing zone is too small.

    Wonder what woods they are using to make the pellets 🤔

    • @jakegauger7012

      This 100% natural hardwood fuel contains no fillers, binders and additives and produces minimal ash it burns. With a mixture of cherry, maple and hickory

    Great cook. What wood made up their premium pellets and how much was left after that meat fest?

    • @paulsq_

      They’re made from cherry, maple, and hickory after about 6 hours at 225 I have just a little under 3/4 of the hopper LT.
