I usually don't like the way Mazdas look but this is one sweet looking vehicle inside and out. I need to see it on the ice and snow though.
Emme is just my favorite
Sat in one at dealer. Impressed. Haven't actually driven it yet, but it is a Mazda so Zoom Zoom. Did not care for the arm rest as it is in the way of the controller. When I checked out comparison stats, it gets lower MPG than the 3 even though it is smaller and has same engine. Still kind of regretting getting a sedan instead of hatch, so we will see how the CX3 holds up to scrutiny by CR, Motor Trend, Car & and Driver and of course, you guys over the next year or so. Mazda teasing me with a manual across the pond.
Definitely a little run about for a city dweller. Without a doubt for a single person. If you're starting a family you need to move up to the cx5. The cx3 is a b-segment CUV.
That being said, I've already started seeing a few of these little guys around the GTA. I think Mazda has a winner here.

My sister in law just got the cx3 gt. she let me drive it for a week. I am not a big fan of Mazda but this one here.. its pretty good!!!

This car would look really good with a lowering kit, bigger rims, and all the plastic painted, basically turn it into a big hot hatch.
How does this car compare to the XV Crosstrek, can you do an "light" off-road comparison?

Emme, can a real person actually fit in the back seat of the CX-3? When you do the full review later, could you check out the back to see if it's suitable for adults or just kids?
I like the CX-3's styling. It's the best looking subcompact crossover for sure.
I've had my CX-3 for about 2 months and it's awesome, it gets a lot of attention when you drive it in downtown Toronto. I've had many people sit in the back (2 adults max) and no one has really complained, if your over 5'10 you may have some trouble.
+Kamaljot Rai We're having trouble deciding between the Honda HRV, and this! The Honda is sluggish, went for a test drive today; and I was not really impressed... But it's roomy, and have ample space for passengers. The Cx-3 is much better looking inside and out; however I find that space is limited at the back; do you think 3 adults would be able to sit in the back, say for like 40 mintues?!
+Pavan Patel No, you could not have regular size adults sit in the backseat reasonably. There is such poor legroom. I know it's supposed to be compact... but the backseat is for kids only.
+TheDopestGamer Check the actual measurements. The CX5 has more ground clearance. But overall specs for room inside the car are MINIMAL.

What color is that on the cx-3? Is that the same sky blue that was on the CX-5 in 2013?
2:40 I don't WANT them to mitigate the fact that it is a taller car. I want my car to be taller. That's why I really like the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, despite the fact that it is a subcompact crossover, it is as tall as a lot of midsize SUVs.

Very good looking car. I'm guessing it's pretty bouncy since it's so low.
+sportsMike87 Not at all. Just bought a GT AWD package. The CX-3 is firm and grips the road, no bounce. And the engine is fantastic, high revs and very quick considering it has less horses than some of the competitors but could outperform them any day

+sportsMike87 Compared to what? If you try the rest of the segment, only the Fiat 500X can keep up with the CX-3 in terms of driving excitement. The HRV, Juke, Soul, Crosstrek, RAV4, and Mini Countryman are all a bore to drive. The Juke has a peppier engine than the rest with its 1.5L Turbo, but that's about all it has going for it.

Extend the wheelbase Mazda. If Mazda put a center console in it you would end up with some narrow front seats.

What about the HR-V? It's interior has a lot of room for being small and the cargo area is spacious too. Granted it might not be "fun" to drive I still think it's better than this.

Getting a bit tired of the bias reviews lately....Emme is openly a huge Mazda fan, while Roman really seems to have an issue with Honda products....Maybe Roman should let Emme review Honda's and leave himself to review Mazda products....this way we may get some genuine, unbiased opinion.

Just get a GTI for the same money and you have so much more car and apparently even more room. I don't understand this car. It's a nice looking vehicle but no usable space and what a weak motor.
