That’s good to know because I was considering one of these to replace my gas guzzling ‘10 Mazda CX-9 to daily drive. I’m 6’3 so I’m glad it’s somewhat tall friendly.
I love my 2019 CX-3. I think it's elegant, sporty and energetic. I am also a Mazda fan, but this one really does it for me. It's hard to say this is a cash grab car, though. It doesn't sell well. The CX-5 is much more popular. That will be my next car!

The Mazda CX-3 is basically a jacked up Mazda2, which was Mazda's lowest end car. I owned a Mazda2 before and it was a great car, but definitely does not compete with Mazda's on newer and larger platforms.
It's a good review. You want to know all the possible drawbacks of a car before owning it. Having a bit of its backstory helps create a clearer picture. The infotainment system looks like it sucks. It is a vehicle not suited for people with families. I wholly disagree about it being an ugly car though. I love the look of this car.

Love this little thing and still smiling after 3 years... throw in a better air filter and some premium tires and this car can be a fun every day driver... Sure the back seat is useless, and it’s loud, a bit bumpy on a harsh roads, but it’s fun! I got mine new for a hair over 17 thou. Such a deal! Best bang for the buck I ever owned
The review date is January 2020 but it claims the 2017 version of the CX-3 was current. Weren't the 2021 models out at that time? Something does not add up with this video.
CRAP CAR. My wife has one cx-3 2019 with 40k miles and she already replaced the transmission, emergency break got stuck, we needed to tow the car, also a few electrical issues. My Prius 2005 with 200k miles is more reliable than this car. She deeply regrets buying one of this.
I have to tell you that I could not disagree you more. I have a CX 3;which I have been driving for the last seven years and yes it is not perfect but it is a really great little car. It is sporty. It is fun to drive and so far it has been very reliable. By the way I am no spring chicken, I am 79 years old. It reminds me in so many ways of an MG TC, I had years ago. On the other end of the scale, the worst car I have ever owned was an Alfa Romeo 2 liter Berlina which was trouble from day 1.

Don't believe this guy. The CX-3 is an excellent little car. I have the 2018 model with the mazda 3 engine. Its a real drivers car, agile and a lot of fun to drive. The only thing I don't like is its screen and entertainment system. It works but its complicated and convoluted, especially the gps. Apart from that, its fabulous.
Thinking of buying this Marzda (US) model for wifey but may go Qashqai for more room. Mazda held back my the lack of standard Apple Carplay / Android Auto intellilink.

Wow, so many offended Mazda CX-3 owners who can’t be objective. There’s a reason caranddriver ranks it as 14 out of 19 in its class for 2021. Even Mazda itself is slowly phasing out this CUV in favor of its slightly larger sister, the CX-30. It’s not a coincidence that the CX-30 is ranked no. 1 by the same publication, as it pretty much fixes all the shortcomings of the CX-3.
The only thing the Yaris shares is the dashboard and console, bigger engine and transmission, available all wheel drive, nicer styling, bigger wheels and tires, the two may share a couple of bones, but that is where the similarities end
This guy obviously never drove the Mazda 3. All the same good and bad aspects of the CX3 with none of the ground clearance and even more difficult to get in and out of.
He owns one. Way better car that looks much better. If you struggle getting out, that’s a physical incapability. Ground clearance is not useful for a street car.

It's a good car if you want a lot of head room for the front seats, but want a smaller car with good gas mileage, handling, AWD, and decent looks.
The cx3 is for people that are tall but want a small car with excellent gas mileage. It's roof sits up relatively high.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with the cx30, but I like the extra hp with excellent gas mileage.
