    Despite dozens of videos on Challenger steering wheel swaps, only Work Play Drive is thorough enough and detailed enough to include the part number for the one time use bolt. Everyone else I saw incorrectly reused the bolt. Great work, this channel regularly goes above and beyond!

    Found your video a few weeks ago while my custom steering wheel was being built. I received it last week and the install was easy because of your video. Thanks for all your helpful videos. Just went through this disassembly and assembly of my new steering wheel similar to this one in the video. The spring is a bitch, but once you mess with it a few times, you kind of get how to deal with it. But the biggest hassle was trying to put the airbag back on. I found the reason was the wire and connections below were obstructing it. They need to be moved off to the sides. Once that was accomplished, no issues!

    • @WorkPlayDrive
      @WorkPlayDrive  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the airbag pop in is a pain. I just installed a wheel for myself and I needed to remove and reassemble all the wiring, buttons and paddle shifters. That was a lot of work.

This time around the CD was not available so I subscribed to www.chiltondiy.com for $24 a year, I'll have access as long as I keep paying and I can read it from anywhere like my phone, PC, tablet, etc. the Chilton Version also includes electrical diagrams which the Tech Authority makes you buy separately.

    You should be able to re-use the bolt, just put new loctite. or did i miss something?

    • @WorkPlayDrive
      @WorkPlayDrive  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some thread lockers are single use and I do not have the compound used on this bolt. The Service manual says to discard the bolt every time you use it. it's only a $3 part so there is no need in trying to figure it out.

    How do you remove the airbag? I don't see any holes on the sides of the aftermarket wheel that allow you to insert a screwdriver to auto release the airbag. Do you just forcefully remove the airbag?

    • @WorkPlayDrive
      @WorkPlayDrive  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have an aftermarket wheel you need to get instructions from the manufacturer. The stock steering wheel has the holes that allow you to release the springs.

    My question is, why wouldn't he return the steering wheel if it wasn't exactly what he ordered?
    I'm assuming it was at least $1200 if not more.
    If I'm spending that kind of money, I'll want exactly what I ordered.

    • @WorkPlayDrive
      @WorkPlayDrive  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need the change the entire airbag assembly as far as I know, and also keep in mind they started lighting the SRT logo around 2018 which is a different part number. .
