I'm so glad that the Legacy Collection kept the change from the DS Collection where the vocal version was reinserted into the English version of Zero 4's credits. It just doesn't feel right to end Zero 4 without hearing Freesia.

By the time she sang this again, everyone (Neige and the human group of Caravans) that she met are long gone (even the kids didn't live past a healthy 100 year lifespan) except the couple Reploids (Alouette & Perroquiet & few dozen) still around working as Guardians (yes the Resistance members wanted to help Ciel's dreams be come true with their efforts big & small). No one but Ciel remembers what was Neo Arcadia like before her departure...remembering X's messages about new hope...her eventual first meeting of Zero...her first and possibly her only love of her life. Yes, even the Cyber Elves (digital beings that aren't souls of Reploids & digitized humans) stop showing every so often as she remember when she was younger, is either the scientists & researchers remembers the Elf Wars lessons & moved on to new forms of energy research or she slowly forgetting about her warm memories regarding the Elves from her old memory banks. She will want the digital beings to live their own lives on cyberspace & cyberworlds without any more disturbances. Regardless even Mother Elf hadn't been heard from again. She's wondering if she's okay, is she making new friends. is she feeling the same as her... Prairie/Alouette knows Zero & X is watching Ciel & the Guardians she considers them as family. Even if one small effort from Cyber Elves can pull her out of her funk, she knows that her loved ones would want her to return safely. Y'know, I know Rie Tanaka first and foremost as Chii's voice from childhood, so learning she voiced Ciel in another series I enjoyed always planted really funny mental images in my head. Ironically since I saw the Chobits dub first, I'm pretty sure Crispin Freeman putting on his deeper, colder voice type instead of what he used for Hideki would make a more than passable Zero...

Then a few groups like Nanoha's TSBA & Madoka's Puella Magi did fight Copy X & Omega Zero at some point on a dream world version of Earth 22XX. Its literally a science fantasy Earths full of cyber fairies, mythical cyber beasts and oh that's why Nep Nep wants to visit that world of 22XX.

子どもの頃難しすぎてヒーヒー言いながらクリアしたゼロシリーズ、4をクリアしたあとこの曲が流れた時「ゼロはどうなったんかな？」とどこか寂しくなったのを思い出しました。
ゼロ4のBGMがアレンジされてるのも今気づいて感動です！

2020 Rie Tanaka sing this song again, and I still listen like 15 years ago.
ゼロ４のエンディングで行方不明になったゼロを待つシエルの思いが切なすぎて、こちらも泣きそうになりました。
エックスがゼロ３でいなくなり、今度はゼロまでと、最後まで重いストーリーだと思いました。
このFreesiaもストーリーの雰囲気に１枚買ってますし。
何よりシエル役の田中理恵さんが歌うと、心にぐっと来ますね。

アドバンス時代にやり込んでた記憶が甦ったわ。ハードクリアするまで徹夜して、ボタン固いから指が腫れながらもクリアした後のこの曲が成し遂げた感半端なかったな。

昔散々やり込んでいたロクゼロ、4のラストでfreesiaが流れた時の演出に気付けば毎度、ボロ泣きさせられていました。あの頃の思い出を今こうして色鮮やかに甦らせてもらい、ゼロとシエルへの切ない想いが浄化された気がします。ありがとう田中さん。

Y'know, I know Rie Tanaka first and foremost as Chii's voice from childhood, so learning she voiced Ciel in another series I enjoyed always planted really funny mental images in my head.
Ironically since I saw the Chobits dub first, I'm pretty sure Crispin Freeman putting on his deeper, colder voice type instead of what he used for Hideki would make a more than passable Zero...
