    For the serial killer at the beginning, I hate hate HATE the fact that the song slaps. If I didn't know who did it and why, I would probably listen to it on repeat. But knowing, I feel kinda guilty about liking the tune.

      Red flags are great but seeing as a lot of the red flags presented with the younger offenders are online or in phone apps that a fair percentage of older generations are absolutely clueless about, perhaps more education is needed for older ones as to what exactly is available for monitoring your kids on computers and phones these days…

    One of my college professors worked on the Gainesville Ripper case, she was at the Florida college as a guest professor at the time. I remember we had an entire lecture about this case and her experiences with the investigation and walking onto the crime scenes. She said a bunch of strong athletes were in her class, and they would offer to walk girls to the dorms or their cars. I admit I hate it when music/films/games are used as a justification to heinous acts, it's such an easy crutch to rely on rather than look deeply at the person responsible for the act. If someone is disturbed anything can be a trigger, not the fault of though, that lies in the malady of the person's mind. Thank you EWU once again, not just for the detailed narrative but also posting the warning signs one needs to look out for, that could be invaluable.

      Such things are like seeds which people sow inwardly that entertain movies, games, etc. The heart (the real you, not the pumper) is like the ground. You sow wickedness in yourself, you will only reap corruption, and the course of your life will be set on fire by hell. This is judgement and why the world is on fire and wickedness continues to consumes it.

    • @rjunxi
      @rjunxi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      I completely agree.
      I think you need to be evil enough in the first place for you to be swayed in such a way. No sane person watches a few horror movies and decides to kill. We're all here listening to the details of gruesome murder, but how many of us will go on to kill? Few, if any. Not that I know anything.
      Just doesn't make sense for the majority of people to be fine with such "influences" yet those same influences are suddenly the blame when it comes to somebody hurting others.
      I assume it's similar to addiction, how some types of people have more addictive personalities?

    Thank you so much for bringing to light that childhood abuse tends to be the root cause of why people snap and turn to violence later on. I appreciate that you tell people to report suspected child abuse. I try to offer the same advice, especially to kids online who claim to be in an abusive household.

      @lakenr1720 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to be careful with kids online who claim abuse. I have a daughter who didn’t like the curfew of 11pm at my house at 15 and told the world she was being abused.

    • @MidnightSonnet
      @MidnightSonnet ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lakenr1720 while that's true (and I hope you scolded her), if cps or the cops ever visited you, you'd be in the clear since there's no evidence of abuse. Also, if she mentioned online that she feels she's being abused because of a curfew, no one would sympathize with her other than kids with curfews. No one will take it seriously. Kids and teens will always complain about a curfew, so I wouldn't worry.

    For the satanic case: I would like to mention something.
    There is a difference between the Satanic Church and the Satanic Temple.
    The church is much like what is being described here, more violent use of the occult. The TEMPLE is actually a religion that uses the Devil as a symbol of freedom and not a diety. The Temple has 7 Tennants on treating others with respect, and you can be registered with the temple while believing in another religion. (ie. You can believe in god/Jesus, but you can also be registered with the Temple.) [Edit: They are actually a peaceful organization that kicked a member out for wishing death on a person in power! They are not the bad guys.]
    The Satanic Temple is not, in fact, satanic. The Church of Satan is usually what is described here.

    Okay a couple of things here on D.I.D:
    1) It should no be seen in the same view as "split personality". That has nothing to do with DID. That's more akin to Schizophrenia, NOT D.I.D. DID is a trauma-based Dissociative Disorder.
    2) It's NOT as rare as you think it is: 1-3% have this disorder. To put that into perspective, that's around the same as people with red hair. And that is just diagnosed, there would be MANY more that aren't diagnosed.
    3) If your phycologist refuses to even think about diagnosing DID at all, look for a more compatent one who specialises in trauma and dissociation. DID has been PROVEN to be very much a real thing, with actual brain scans that show changes in brain chemestry after a switch as well as other things. So if you see someone who doesn't believe in it at all, then they clearly don't know a lot about trauma and dissociation.

I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you put into your channel. It shows us fans that you are truly committed to providing us with the best content as possible. Trying to find good true crime channels on TH-cam is extremely hard and I have to say that all your channels are definitely my favorite hands-down! And I also love the narrating that is done by Raven. Keep up the great work! Lots of 🖤😻🫶🏼 and also my prayers go out to any other families who have suffered great loss due to such evilness.

    Why are they allowing the psychopath a concert venue? Take a baton and give him some dental care to shut him up. The fact that this reporter knew of his crimes but was still in love with someone she didn't know says a lot about her character.

    Hearing that first case always sends shivers down my spine. My mom lived on UF campus at that time and all of his victims look eerily similar to my mom. During this time my dad decided to move my mom into his house its just so odd seeing the case that my mom actually saw and lived through she even knew one of the victims. Crazy

    I'm watching all of your 36 videos, and I know I mentioned this before, but your channel awesome! Especially when you add in diagnosis, red flags, signs, and places to get help if you feel there is someone in your life, that exhibits these behaviors 👏👏👏
    And length of these videos are so awesome. I hate when you watch a video that's only 10-20 minutes long, so this videos are refreshing 🙌

    I’m confused on the first case. What did Ed have to do with any of it? Seems like Danny was the murderer entirely.
    Edit: glad that ended up being somewhat addressed.

    • @smaandre522

      The serie is called most twisted cases. Ed seemed like someone who would commit a crime like that due to the fact that he was there, and police believed it to be him and that they found the right guy, but the twist was that he wasn’t. It was Danny. Someone no one suspected at the time

    I struggle to separate art from the artist; this is especially the case with something as personal and beautiful as music. Otherwise, I'd gladly listen to the kind of music that dude was playing. He had a kind of Townes Van Zandt sound and I have a weakness for vocals that are tinged with such sorrow as his.
