As soon as you place the fresh buttercream on and scrape off the excess, lift the stencil off so it’s still soft and not too cold like the frozen buttercream you’ve placed it on. Try lifting from both sides of the stencil at the same time, using both hands.

Would it work on frozen swiss meringue buttercream too?
I haven’t tried it with Swiss meringue yet but I would think so.
When I pull the stencil so much of the buttercream design comes with it. What am I doing wrong?
