Do you have any tips for picking up piped designs for the tops of flat cupcakes? I’ve seen videos where they do this exact trick, but pipe a design on some parchment paper and then use the cupcake to pick it up. Should I freeze the design too and just put it on the cupcake instead?
I usually pipe directly on the cupcakes but if you wanted the flat top first you could just flip on parchment paper to flatten it and then pipe a design.

My stencil keeps sliding or not laying flat😢
Sometimes I place a finger on it to hold it in place while I smooth buttercream in with my other hand
