I was at wit's end, having to mop up the bottom of the fridge every day. We were very close to getting rid of the fridge, on the theory that having it worked on would cost more than the fridge itself was worth. I followed your instructions, although I didn't break out the plastic piece. I put down a wire, and scoured it a bit. It's worked well, at least for two months now. What a relief! For now, this has fixed the problem, and is certainly extending the life of the fridge. Thank you!

Thanks for the video. Mine just started backing up/leaking. Cleaned the channel out, vacuumed, used some wire to poke through the hole, then hot water. Wife was looking for someone to service, but as she found out (she didn't believe me) that no one except the Sub-Zero tech would touch it.
    Thanks again.

There is no filter for the ice maker on a 700tci, however you could use an inline filter on your water supply line.

Hi there, We have the same model 700 TCI - 2013.It started to leak in November on and off. Water could be found in the fridge and then started to come down in the upper drawer of the freezer (where the gasket is). We turned it off, emptied everything and after a few hours it started to leak vigorously underneath the compressor (on the right side). We followed the steps in this video, however we would like to see the dripping tray as well to see if it is empty. Can you please advise on how to have access to the dripping tray, how to take the compressor out? Is there anything we have to watch out for? Do you have by any chance a video on how to do that? With this pandemic we are reluctant to call a service technician...Your help will be much appreciated!

@@SubZeroSpecialists Thank you, I am aware of this link. My question was how can I access the dripping tray behind the condenser unit. I understood there is a way to slide out the whole assembly (like a drawer) for servicing the various components. This could provide access to inspect the tray arrangement as well, tubing, connections, etc.
Thanks a lot for your help,

Is there ice in the drain trough? The classic problem with these units is the drain heater dislodges from the drain trough. Sub-Zero has a kit available to remedy this problem by replacing the defrost timer and the defrost termination switch along with a new drain heater. Shut down the unit until all the ice is melted and then check under the trough to see if the drain heater has become unattached-it's glued on.

@@SubZeroSpecialists have a Subzero 700 TCI 3. Ice is building up by the base of the freezer drainage heating coil and further in the bottom of the freezer. Seems to build up faster when the ice maker is on. Do you have a video on how to diagnose the issue and maybe repair it? Thanks
