    TERRIFIC job of telling us about these different valves. Getting hard to find the non-Supco valves! I managed to find a Robertshaw one, new but 8 years old. Works great. Just a little tip: For those of us who don't have the little plastic clips you put on to keep the output line well-seated (starts at 4:33), a ring of 18G wire works just fine. It surely would be nice if the manufacturers had managed to include that clip with the valve, but maybe they thought only professionals put them in and they would have the clips? Anyway, a little wire ring does the job. Keep up the good and very helpful work!

      The subzero valves we use now come with the clips and they are made in Mexico, much better than Supco, much better than that other country. What’s important to know about water valves is the duty cycle, not all valves are equal. If you put a regular valve from a refrigerator into an ice machine, such as a UC15 it will burn out.

    Great video! Thanks for posting it. Do you ever run into fan relay relay failures, or is it generally the fan that fails? My 1997 S-Z 561 has the original Morrill SPGC203HCEM1 condenser fan motor with the metal blade. When running, it is quiet and spins at 1400 rpm according to the free iphone app I used. However, it intermittently fails to start. A clockwise flick of the finger sets it going again every time. (If it were an HVAC blower, I'd figure it needed a new capacitor...) Like @mp3953, I'm considering just direct wiring it to 115V so it will never stop until it's REALLY dead. Any downside to that approach in your opinion? It would eliminate the relay as a failure point. Obviously, it will waste a little electricity, but if my calcs are right, <$4 worth per year. Thanks for any thoughts!

    • @SubZeroSpecialists
      @SubZeroSpecialists 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      These refrigerators use a variable speed compressor that can run at different speeds depending on the fridge's needs. This allows the compressor to run at full speed when the fridge is first turned on to quickly reach the desired temperature, and then run at a slower speed to maintain that temperature. This helps to save energy because the compressor isn't constantly running at full speed.

I’m at about 46-42. The freezer freezes but not enough to make ice… do you think it could be the inverter? Do you possibly have a part number for my fridge? Sounds like your evaporator coil is iced up. Remove the back cover and check for ice or frost build up. The only accurate way to check the compressor performance is to check the sealed system pressure, that will require special tools. Of course if the inverter is the culprit then the compressor may not be running at full speed. The part number is on the inverter.

I just did my first cleaning cycle after owning this thing for over a year, had the wood floors refinished recently. The condenser is caked with would dust. I got a mat off the front of it without bending the fins too bad but it's pretty difficult to get at with the thing angled and the temperature control switch in the way. I have a BI-36S from 2009. Today the display just stopped working, no numbers and buttons do not work. It lights up and has power but no cooling. Do you think it is the control board?

      Check the control board for loose wires

    Hi - have a question. I have a 632 and my freezer temp fluctuates between 0 and 20 from time to time throughout the day. Have you encountered that before? Thanks

    I have the same r600a kit, and it has the same problem. Mastercool doesn't honor their warranty. I try to stay away from that brand.

    With R600a I believe you can use a lighter to check for leaks. Right?

    • @SubZeroSpecialists
      @SubZeroSpecialists 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s risky

    @2:17 why don't you remove the two T20 Torx screws and loosen the third one, on both side, that are holding the door? It's faster and you don't have the sliders in your way.

      I may try that the next time, but this is the way I’ve been doing it for so many years. Thanks for the feedback.

    The seal on my freezer drawer was not sealing completely. Tech installed a brand new seal, but there is still a bit of a gap. The seal doesn't get "sucked-up" to the wall. The drawer doesn't retract by itself, I have to push it., Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks

    Perfect. Saved us a lot on a service call. Took care of it in 10 - 15 mins and vacuumed up the insides. Thanks!

    Hello Aron. I'd like to ask you. Do you sell your charging column?

    • @SubZeroSpecialists
      @SubZeroSpecialists 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately these charging columns are no longer available and I only have one rebuild kit left. Try FB Marketplace or eBay.
