Note the detail in the beginning with the frame bending, the tubes are filled with ice to prevent distortion wile bending.
I was wondering where is the mandrel lol. That makes sense now.
I could watch a craftsman that takes pride in his work all day. Excellent to watch, thank you for posting.
It looks like a good factory bike with a unique design.
But it's hard to say it's a handmade bike.
Handmade bikes mean that they have custom-made (bespoke) frames, usually welded by hand.
agree.
confirmo
that's true
Hand-assembled perhaps?
@@sporo2000 crappie hand assembly from lack of greasing all mating surfaces. . Headset bearings aren't even greesed. This is a horror show
For older people this is the perfect bike, they don't have to lift their legs to get on the bike, they just have to sit down and pedal.
Older people will see that this is not a totally handmade bicycle at all,as robots are used.handmade means handmade.human tools and techniques, without robots.just how bicycles would have been made in the 20 th century and before.
I was interested in purchasing one of this companies bycycles until I saw robots being used, rendering them not handmade,as the title decietfully exclaimed.
@@wayneslater1543 As well as a lot of outdated technology, (90s) especially the bottom bracket, quill stem and rim brakes
@@wayneslater1543 Maybe in Japan robotic hands count as well.
Such a calming and clean video on how to make a premium bike
❤
I love that boinic arm that he hand-welded it with...wait a minute!
It was hand programmed in assembly so that counts as handwelded if your a it nerd😁
Not 100% Handmade, but is amazing.
Simple and beautiful design. The seat looks really comfortable.
Noo ! It danger for life for uzed
That's a funky yet beautiful frame design!
Needs alot of help..
1.) Greese ,all threads and mating surfaces.
2.)multi butted tubes , for more strength and lighter weight.
3.) Built in chain tensioners on the drop outs, can get after market bolt on . But this is custom hand made..
That's a few disappointments I noticed immediately.
And this thing probably weights 30lbs. Even with lil 20 " wheels and single speed gear ,maybe it's a multi speed hub. Would like to see it set at a highet standard than bigbox bikes... but think these day everything is in a junk mindset..
Very cool episode! I love bikes, with motor or pedals!
It is a cinematic film about the art of building a bicycle. 👍👍👍
Does the term "Hand-made" have a different meaning in japan? Tube benders, robot welders and laser engravers. I'd call it more hand assembled.
Minions 👍 very nice robotic equipment for a bicycle. 👍
beautiful works and masterpiece❤❤❤
what a beautiful bike ... good design, really appreciate it ...
"handmade bicycles" while it shows a robot doing all the bending and most of the welding
great video of a nice machine made bike.
Nice job on assembly and enjoyed the design of the bike
Những mặt hàng Nhật Bản làm khỏi chê chỗ nào. Họ làm ăn thật thà.... OK 🇯🇵👍
Esse povo tem comprometimento na alma
What a lovely way to make a living. Low volume, quality products that you can be proud of.
Vielen Dank!
I can’t believe I spent the whole entire time thinking it would be a 26” bike, but it is a minivelo. So cool!
That is a good quality bike 👍 I have not seen a design like that before it different then some of the other models on another channel the details are neat 😀✌️❤️
Hello Japan really like your bike its cool.thanks🎉🎉🎉😮
Simplicity and beauty the Japanese way🚴♂️
ideal bicycle for an old person to stay active and enjoy some riding in the park
Being a bicycle mechanic, I would love to see one of these beauties in the shop. Truly and elegant bike!!! Will for sure outlast my carbon bike
No it wont. Modern carbon blows steel outta the water for durability and longetivity
How many carbon bikes have you warrantied?
@Trek_Rail. Beauties? Did you see all that old technology on such an expensive bike. They charge $3000 aud for them but do agree, it should outlast a carbon bike. Carbon seems to crack a lot.
I'm pretty sure that carbon bikes crack because the epoxy degrades over time and can't hold the carbon fibers together forever.
@@SauronsEye I find the beauty in the simplicity.
The cost is the cost. If you can spend 1000’s on a pair of shoes, what’s a few 1000 on a bike.
My 24k $$ trek rail will sure be long gone before this thing rusts!!
very cool video, the music is so calming im fighting a nap halfway thru.
wery good work respect Big in Japan
Japanese scrapmenship the best scrapmenship in the world💪😘🇵🇭so Amazing 😊😍❤️🇵🇭
Young boy ,brilliant work .
Excellent video, lovely bike and surprisingly economic for the detailed process and high quality components.
(There's a little error in the links)
Great invention precision Japan made work awesome 👌
@@PhantomSet legal 👍🏻
I believe that the frame of such a design is sufficiently strong and rigid. And these small wheels are just right for driving around the city, on bike paths.
Big job. Beautiful bicicle. Wow Made to hands.... I'm. From Venezuela.. hello people
OK 🇯🇵👍
"Beautiful "..,(yes,"stainless steel "..,thanks for this video. 😊
that looks amazing. makes me want to go for a ride
SEPEDAH yg sangat unik saya SUKA sekali...👍👍👍🇮🇩
J'ai adoré cette vidéo, MERCI !
Beautiful Bike !
Awesome 👍👍👍
Nice bike, nice job. Super.
Beautiful!
That's a lot of processes for making a bicycle, but it's worth it for a beautiful bike
Show de vídeo ...!!!...
Cherubim cycles in Japan would make for an interesting subject!
the most satisfying part of it to watch was the drawing
I also notice that and cringed
I love cycling. I love what Japan has best to offer. I ride at least 20.000 km per year. 🥰
More than 54 km everyday😮
@@alexeygarcia6242 yup.
I'm not the only one who is doubtful of you riding nearly 400klm per week on average.
So prove it. What's your Strava account name?
@SauronsEye 😄😄😄😄 I am delivery cyclist for Glovo Romania in Craiova city. I replace two ebike motors every year because of bearings failure 😄😄😄😄. Every day at least 75km.
I regret that many of the comments about this bike are sarcastic because of the false title, "handmade bike".
In fact, it is mostly made in Japan except for the saddle and shifter. mikashima, sugino, diacompe...... precision and beautiful parts.
By the way, it weighs 13 kg.
It is expensive, but I think it could be a template for a product that prioritizes design above all else.
The moment you add a robot to the frame welding ,it ceases to be “artisanal bike production “ as the Portuguese Title falsely implies.
The shop might be owner operated , it could be CAD drawn for documentation purposes , yet the Portuguese title is misleading.
No grease on the headset bearings or the BB thread. Master craftsman my arse.
That made my soul cringe too. I was hoping it was just a test fit and that stuff would be added later
No torque wrench either. At times you know the Japanese like to faff about. For example 50 year training sushi chef. So what’s the difference from a chef training a year? Sometimes I think it’s a culture thing.
It feels like they are taking pride in their work but missing details you expect in precise assembly
The bike artisan is so handsome
Bravo......very very nice...This is very good bycikel.....❤
Handmade? Robot hands?
That robot is a master of the hand-weld technique!
Nice cycle 🎉
The bearings were not greased.
Am I the only one who sees it this way?
Me too. I'm ready to riot
In Indonesia we call it minions frame. Or minions bikes. The other variation is mini track
Beautiful 😊
I was into BMX Bikes when I was a Kid, and knew all or most of the top end race Bikes. Kuwahara being one of them. They weren't as popular as Redline, Diamond Back, Mongoose, and GT.
If Kuwahara made regular road/recreational bikes, they didn't import them to the US. The BMX was relatively rare compared to others, I only seen factory teams ride them. That was in the 80's.
Hermoso trabajo artesanal 🚴♀️👏

the japanese are notorious for making simple things complicated
Hand build but robots helped with the build, and no clear coat to protect the stickers and frame, great bike if you like these kind of bike, prefer MTB cycles.
Thank you
Watching bicycle mechanic is still my forte!?
A machine bended & welded bicycle frame, is not a hand made bicycle!
Wow! Even his signature is a handlebar. ❤😅
To fix the handles on the handlebars I do not use lubricant which will never ensure that it holds correctly with the risk of rotation, however I recommend that you spray hairspray in the handle before sliding it on the hanger, once dried it will stick the handle perfectly to the tube, however for disassembly you just need to insert the blade of a screwdriver to remove the handle and spray a lubricant in the space thus created, rotate and pull the handle which will slide easily....
Questions: It looks like there is an internal gear rear hub; why was it not used? Also, it looks pretty heavy without any attempt to reduce the weight. It must be at least 20kg; why not aluminum rather than stainless?
It's a hipster bike. It's all for show
Handmade -except the bits by robot, obviously hahaha
very nice
clearly your understanding of the word "handmade" is completely different to everyone else. otherwise, *nice bike and video.*
What a funny old country Japan is. Considered to be a highly advanced country that makes lot of electronic devices. Look at their bullet trains, amazing.
Then we see in this video robots welding bike frames but then they use a lot of old technology on the bike and the assembler doesn't even have an air compressor to pump up the dozens of wheels he'd have to inflate on a daily basis. What is going on?
Sure, there's a lot of charm in the old ways, like rickshaw rides for the tourists and tea ceremonies but let's be real, the good old days were never as good as they are now. We are ever evolving with our technology, which makes things constantly better, we should embrace that.
So to that end, since they use a lot of old tech on their bikes, I wouldn't call them high end. Charging $3,000 aud for a bike doesn't make it high end. It's a rip off, unless they justify the price by paying their staff extra well. Otherwise, I think it's real value is at most $200 aud.
Entah napa lbh suka model sepeda mini trek Indonesia.,. ❤😂
