AhDude92 oh don't get me wrong, you have to put up with some stupid narrative bs throughout, but there's actually two Gravity Rush games that were supposed to be one game originally. It got kinda rushed by Sony so it got split into two. Also yeah the story is kinda wack, but not really any more nonsensical than other superhero stories. Don't play this game for the story, it should be played for the unique and very fun gameplay, world design, and characters.
Wait. Wait wait wait. Gravity Rush was made by the guys behind the Silent Hill series?! That... actually explains a lot, now that I think of it. I’ll never forget that one scene in GR 1, the one that’s just before you meet the old creator guy. You go from chasing balloons and helping lost children to being completely powerless in a black and white void as the game presents some of its most bizarre and downright disturbing creatures. Seriously, the best description for those things I’ve heard was “creatures so bizarre that they are confused by their own existence.” It was so brilliant in how sudden and creepy it was, and really helped to set a fascinating and oddly dark side to an otherwise bright and cheery game.
The intire mission is wierd, the fortune The lost kid, the fricking balloon and what sells it to me is when you reunite the kid with his father The kid isn't there anymore the door on the wall is open an out of nowhere his father starts speaking some deep stuff Brilliant

I consider Gravity Rush to be my entry into games like Persona 5, NieR: Automata, Drakengard, Tales of Berseria, Xenoblade, Final Fantasy, Shadow of the Colossus, Zelda, Dark Souls and more recently, Fire Emblem. Had I not played Gravity Rush, I don't think I'd have an appreciation for those kinds of games. I daresay, I was quite the normie gamer. Fire Emblem: Awakening set me on a similar path. I only really played first party Nintendo and FPS games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Fire Emblem made me appreciate more niche genres of games and really expanded my taste. I honestly don't regret playing it, because it introduced me to the world and made me care about the characters. It is also great to feel the jump in quality from GR1 to GR2. It should be the contender for best sequel of all time.
Sadly, this was one of those titles that suffered due to a rough development cycle. Still, _Gravity Rush/Daze/2_ is a great game with a lot of charm. The "wonkiness" of combat and such feels like an intentional trait due to Kat's personality and the jazz themes are just... wow. This is one of those games where I'd probably buy they game just because of the soundtrack. Except I already own it, so maybe I should just track down a PS4 copy and buy it again.

I love the GR games. It's a damn shame Sony didn't try to promote the game more at the time it came out (because you know...they were pushing for a certain HD FF game that would not be released until way later...instead of their own product)
Yeah, this is one of the reasons i hate sony, if something is not a sure hit, they always push it to the side for something that will make them profit even if it hurts their brand, for example they push the pile of shit that was venom over into the spider verse only in the name of profit even do spider verse was superior in every way. another example is how in recent years they have push games like the order 1886 or remaster and remakes from other companies over games like gravity rush because is a safe bet to do so.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Sony wanted to forget about it, considering like you said, Sony promoted the heck out of it before and after it launched, as well as inserting Kat into other games like LittleBigPlanet and PS All-Stars. Heck, considering how low the game sold, even with all of that, I'm surprised it even got a Remastered version at all, let alone a sequel, which Sony even flat out delayed so that it didn't get demolished by other major games coming out at the time, though I'll be willing to hear more about 2 in your video for it. I've played some of 1 earlier this year, and while it has a lot of good concepts and has great visuals, I think it's bogged down by rather slow pacing and combat that I have trouble really getting into. While I'll try to resume it when I get around to it, it so far feels like it would've been better off as a TV show than as a game.

Pizza Pasta e 22 xd hey, today i opened a chest that looked like an apple, i opened it and it contained some crystals and a emote, but didn't have a single Dusty Token.
It was just bad luck or all chest are like this? PD: after i opened the chest the game sayed "Take a photo" and after loading a while, tha game sayed that the servers are down, like i expected.
Pizza Pasta e 22 xd and how tf gravity rush remastered has the ranking tables but the sequel doesn't have servers?! And isn't only Gravity Rush Remaster, Bleach Soul Resurrection, a game that is old asf and isn't famous or good for everyone, has the ranking tables like wtf
@@lalo2513sorry for the late answer but I got notifed just now, so the chest now are just like this, am sorry but no more dusty tokens for u
Bruh I remember playing this game on a Walmart Vita display. It was just so fun to float around. I went back a few times to just play that demo.
A summary of Ram Zaes: I’ll get to the gameplay later
Gravity Rush 1 and 2 is an underrated jem that needs more love.
I got these two on sale and I absolutely adore them! Platinumed one and got all the online bonus items.
Gravity Rush is Sony's most unique, underrated and ignored franchise.
vib ribbon...
I kept reading this as “The Sony game you wanted to forget” and was so confused at first
I found Gravity Rush through a New video of Charles White aka Jesus reviewing a Competent Piano Supervillain play Rush E to spite another person. The supervillain made a piano arrangement of “Discovery of Gravity” which led me here
Same here 😂
oooh gravity rush? that game was so fantastic i finished it last year. still need to get around to gravity rush 2
This game definitely deserves more attention
Gravity Rush 3, PS5...needs to happen.
Thank you, very cool, I actually have loved this game for 3 years, and got the sequel about 6 months ago. So basically, nice video
I love gravity rush
I also bought it twice one on vita (which I still own) and ps4
Ahhhhhhhh yes gravity rush. A game that for some reason only had the ability to kick and also some gravity based attacks. But mostly kicks and all things kick related
the Gravity Rush games are amazing, we literally need a 3rd one
The Gravity Rushes are some of my favourite games for just how unique they are will all the different styles of games there isn't a whole lot of games like GR
Gravity rush? More like...Flavorty....kush!
*I'm funny I swear*
so happy to see someone talking about this series
The floating kicks more effective if you can aim worth a damn, but that's just me. Literally not even aiming the reticle at the target. I know the aimings not great, but thats to force better timing on you.
gravity rush 1 and 2 are amazing both visually and game play wise one of the best 130 hours of my life spent well
I mean how can you not like a game with a great female character With a 2B costume ?!?
I always thought her Catwoman style costume was the best one.
Yourson Isold yeah I agree... until I saw this FREE dlc costume !
Also Gravity Rush was a real breath of freshness in terms of plateforme videogame !
I fricking love gravity rush
While I'll try to resume it when I get around to it, it so far feels like it would've been better off as a TV show than as a game.
i actually really love gravity rush, i found it on ps4 now and i cant stop playing it
Wow, didn't know Sony screwed over Gravity Rush like they did with Lair.
I honestly loved this game and second game so much
5:05: To be precise, The developers explained that they just asked the seiyu to speak with french accent and sonority. X3
And the dialogue script is some "Lorem Ipsum" things, it means nothing XD
Gravity Rush is one of my favorite games of all time but no one knows what I'm talking about when I bring it up in conversation :(
I thought you was going to be mentioning PlayStation all stars
Love the Vita, and this is my favorite game on it.
Got a pin off Etsy that's a little decorated Vita with GR coming out the screen. ❤️
Gravity Rush is one of my favourite games, why did Sony want us to forget it?
Oh no. You’re gonna make me redownload it to my PS4 and finally finish part 2
They should just put the 1st or 2nd game on PSPlus. More people should have access to it.
Both the Vita original and remastered is like 25 bucks, pretty accessible if you ask me
And 2 is also pretty cheap nowadays
im pretty sure both games were on ps plus but only for Japan
@@Alex-mb2cy true, but many don't know of its existence.
I know it's not Sony's fault, they made a bunch of ads and even a few anime episodes, but the best promotion would be to put it on PSPlus.
@@bruhfoh yeah I remember the first game being on PSPlus for SEA
Fuck yeah!!
I remember absolutely loving the game due to the whole gravity mechanism and the aesthetics and musics. I keep having this as an inspiration for stories and comics because it's just so goddamn great. This meshed with Solatorobo to be exact.
Developed by Silent Hill devs? Yep, that explains some of the boss designs.
Love this game, glad to see you cover it and 2 in the future. It really deserves more attention than it got.
