When my daughter was 4 years old, she told us that she wanted to be a boy. The reason she wanted to be a boy was because her brother got to do lots of cool stuff (he was 7 years older than her) and also she wanted to be able to pee outside. My daughter is now 24 years old and has done lots of cool stuff of her own. And my wife taught her how to pee outside. She is very happy we didn't "transition" her.
Unfortunately, after that show was broadcast on TV there were women who accepted the premise that their child was not "the gender they were born in". I know of a woman who's six year old daughter came home from school and announced that she wanted to be a boy. Her mother promptly cut her hair, put her in boy's clothes, changed her name to a boy's name and went to the school to inform them of the girl's new name and gender. I have heard, but not confirmed, that she now is on puberty blockers. The power of that TV show has probably affected the lives of hundreds, maybe thousands of children.
I wonder if that mother got all the attention she was hoping for? Like a show of her OWN....too? You KNOW thrybare thinking that way. Just like "16 and pregnant". Girls GOT pregnant on PURPOSE, so that they could get on the show. Its been a nightmare, and caused many unnecessary unplanned and unwanted babies, who then had to suffer due to stupidity and ignorance

I wanted to be a cat. I thought searching for a sun spot and napping being the meaning of my life would be amazing cuz life was so hard. What I wouldn’t give to go back and have my clothing washed, food cooked and purchased, school expenses paid for, etc. I make sure every time I talk to my 86 yr old mother I thank her. I completely disagree with our view point on trans people. This view is dangerous and misleading. Yes, doctors must be extremely cautious when considering intervention with a child’s gender . We are still learning so much about this human condition. Trans people have been with us forever. It’s the human spectrum of gender and sexuality.
