I retired last August as a CNA for 22 years. It was a difficult decision, because I love nursing. After 22 years I got fed up with how healthcare was run in this country and wanted out. I was not willing to compromise my standards and patient care. That decision may have saved my life now...I stay home and advocate as much as I can for my “family” in healthcare. Stay safe guys!

Jesus Christ, to say this is a public health catastrophe is an understatement. I am about 75% sure that my mother had COVID19 associated pneumonia and that I likely had it too, though a mild illness. We couldn’t get tested. I went ahead and quarantined myself and didn’t leave the house for 14 days. Assume you’re positive and stay home. You could save a life.

Unbelievable...I am a retired Neo Natal, ICU and Cardiac Care nurse, I also carry a BA in Public Admin core Community Solutions and a MA in Homeland Security core Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness. There should be clean and the utmost isolation equipment and ppe and tests for those who are battling this virus. At the very least separating clean and infected healthcare workers..

For now, until there are more tests, shouldn’t they at least take the temperature of all staff members? And if the temperatures are high, shouldn’t those staff members be tested immediately and be quarantined until they receive a negative COVID result?

I retired last August as a CNA for 22 years. It was a difficult decision, because I love nursing. After 22 years I got fed up with how healthcare was run in this country and wanted out. I was not willing to compromise my standards and patient care. That decision may have saved my life now...I stay home and advocate as much as I can for my “family” in healthcare. Stay safe guys!

We are able to test so many people on the USS Theodore Roosevelt when we don't even have enough texts for the people who are caring for the sick?
