Dr Gabrin was a one of a kind doctor. I am a PA student who had the honor of working with him at St Johns ED in Far Rockaway NY. He cared and loved every patient, co-worker and student as if they were his own child. I looked forward to going to the shifts when he was the attending on call. He left an everlasting impression on me from the couple of hours I spend with him. He taught me what it means to be a real hero and care for patients. Prayers for him and his family! I worked with this incredible person. As a young nurse at the time trying to find my confidence, he acted as a teacher. When I heard of his death, the first thing that came to my mind was, "not him, not now, not like this". I recognized the face before I recognized the name. It brought tears because we all lost something amazing. New Jersey, is small with big-hearted people, and bigger personalities, his amazingly unique and kind. As an ER, Doc in North Jersey for decades you can only imagine how many lives he has saved. Thank You so much. I hope and pray your family heals from this pain. His legacy lives on in my memory permanently.

True. I am not one for interviews right after a loss, but, honestly, i felt that the public needed to see this. If this were done days or weeks later, no one would understand the pain. It’s being shown that many people who test positive are completely asymptomatic. The reason Chris got tested was because of all the people he comes into contact with, and the fact that he’s rich made it possible for him to be tested. Honestly though, showing him on TV, looking perfectly healthy, could give people the idea that the virus isn’t a big deal, and they don’t need to worry about it. So for that reason, I think he should take a break.

If you listen to him in no way is he healthy therefore he is doing a service for people who already have covid and caught it early like he did as well as most people who don't have to worry if they stay indoors as they are told. I can speak to it second hand, my wife is a nurse in Colorado and it absolutely real. Now her unit and hospital are far from full, but the number of positive cases are increasing rapidly. She does not speak about the specifics and she hasn't mentioned a death at her hospital but it is just a matter of time. In regards to free speech. I was a construction worker, then I ended up working in a hospital by complete chance, I been working in hospitals for a decade now, because I finally felt like my work helps people, I enjoy it, I'm not a medical professional, I'm a facilities maintenance guy, and I take pride in making sure everything works as it should, wouldn't change it for any other job, pandemic or not. I want to thank everyone who works in the hospitals, from doctors to environmental services workers and everyone in between, thanks guys/girls for helping us stay afloat in this time of need.

I'm gonna put on the tin foil hat and hypothesized that china could have known about this virus a lot longer than they've stated and have been preparing for it's outbreak, which explains their fast recovery. Maybe they didn't want word of the virus to spread, so that it couldn't be linked to china, and so that while the rest of the world suffers; china steps up and supplies/helps countries in need, effectively altering the public perception of China and establishing a foundation to potentially become a revered global super power.

Dr Gabrin was a one of a kind doctor. I am a PA student who had the honor of working with him at St Johns ED in Far Rockaway NY. He cared and loved every patient, co-worker and student as if they were his own child. I looked forward to going to the shifts when he was the attending on call. He left an everlasting impression on me from the couple of hours I spend with him. He taught me what it means to be a real hero and care for patients. Prayers for him and his family! May his soul Rest In Peace!

When I heard of his death, the first thing that came to my mind was, "not him, not now, not like this". I recognized the face before I recognized the name. It brought tears because we all lost something amazing. New Jersey, is small with big-hearted people, and bigger personalities, his amazingly unique and kind. As an ER, Doc in North Jersey for decades you can only imagine how many lives he has saved. Thank You so much. I hope and pray your family heals from this pain. It’s being shown that many people who test positive are completely asymptomatic. The reason Chris got tested was because of all the people he comes into contact with, and the fact that he’s rich made it possible for him to be tested. Honestly though, showing him on TV, looking perfectly healthy, could give people the idea that the virus isn’t a big deal, and they don’t need to worry about it. So for that reason, I think he should take a break.

I can speak to it second hand, my wife is a nurse in Colorado and it absolutely real. Now her unit and hospital are far from full, but the number of positive cases are increasing rapidly. She does not speak about the specifics and she hasn't mentioned a death at her hospital but it is just a matter of time. In regards to free speech. I was a construction worker, then I ended up working in a hospital by complete chance, I been working in hospitals for a decade now, because I finally felt like my work helps people, I enjoy it, I'm not a medical professional, I'm a facilities maintenance guy, and I take pride in making sure everything works as it should, wouldn't change it for any other job, pandemic or not.
I want to thank everyone who works in the hospitals, from doctors to environmental services workers and everyone in between, thanks guys/girls for helping us stay afloat in this time of need.

It doesn't matter where you are this virus will effect someone you know. If this only effected one part of the world other countries would help but this virus wants to infect every corner of the earth. This will be a fight not just for our world, county or state but right down right to our communities, blocks and households. On one hand I find peace knowing my family will be there for me if I get sick...on the other hand if it was just me I wouldn't be afraid 24/7 of getting my loved ones sick and not even knowing. My son will be 3 in June and he has no idea what is going on. He has such a loving soul that telling him no to his kisses and hugs breaks his heart. He will cry and cry if he can't kiss me...ugh I hate this..
I've seen 1000s of photos where front line has full PPE to protect them from the virus. Does anyone have pictures of frontline staff who are under equipped?

Most hospital workers also have to wear the same mask for multiple days which is dangerous since they can get contaminated. Some hospital have PPE but it is only enough for a few weeks or days. I recommend doing more research on that.

As a physician I both fear for, and salute my colleagues who despite having comorbidities themselves like Dr Frank Gabrin - meet the challenge to be of unconditional service to those who are in need and are suffering You can see Frank was a wonderful man - a true hero. Sincerest condolences to Arnold - may you be comforted by the wonderful memories and recover from Covid-19 - along with Chris - thank you for bringing attention to this massive issue - THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THIS TO HAPPEN - it may have, but prompt planning/action in Jan when the Govt was briefed would have resulted in less deaths. STILL there are military supplies/personnel offered and not actioned - including ventilators offered 2 weeks ago - By early Feb the Logistics Arm and National Distribution and Federal Coordination of Medical supplies may have helped to save Dr Frank Gabrin as he saved others. At the time PPE was scarce in USA we found over 4000 world suppliers that had large stock of P95 Masks, shields,PPE --- .But STILL testing is not up to speed - exposing even more healthcare workers. It is a travesty that needs to be addressed for there will be even more avoidable unnecessary deaths.

Dianne Raymont I agree. I am so angry that our government did not react sooner cancelling flights, ordering extra stock of PPE’s, having companies ramp up production of PPE’s and Ventilators , or asking other companies to help. I am just very angry
