- How to tie an All Purpose Nymph for Fly fishing for Trout
In this video we'll be tying a really successful nymph pattern for me on large and small still waters reservoirs. The APN is just a variant of many other successful nymph patterns combined. A great pattern to use as part of a 3 fly cast fished from spring onwards.
Hook: Kamasan B175
Thread: Uni 6/0 Black
Rib: Small Red Holographic Tinsel/Small UV Tinsel
Body: Black Pheasant Tail
Tail: Black Cock Hackle
Cheecks: Jungle Cock or Goose Biot substitute
Thorax: Peacock Herl
Breathers: White Yarn

Thanks bob
How come I missed this, got to tie a couple of those, excellent tying, as usual.
Nice fly mate 👍
Great tip about turning the vise instead of wrapping its way easier to see what your covering 👌👍
Thanks Issac! The vice turning makes it a lot easier for sure!
I can't seem to find a link to fishing old timer fish , well educated fish on stillwater.
