    Body: Peacock Herl Dyed Black
    Rib: Red Holographic
I would not like to sit and contemplate how many fish the Diawl Bach has caught over the years. There are more variations than you can shake a stick at! So, I have always found that black and red is a lethal colour combination. This pattern is always worth a swim.

Great tie Lindsay. I just did one of these on my channel but could not dig up much history on this pattern. Have you got any idea who created the Diawl Bach or about when it was created? (Love your channel BTW.)

Not sure, I think I might know someone who does though. Leave it with me. You have some great content on your channel very professional, keep up the good work.

With Bob at Bewl virtually every time I fished there I would leave him a batch of smaller skinny nymphs and buzzers for him to assess. He was the Yoda of Bewl. Would share his wisdom and knowledge of Bewl. Always ready to help whatever your skill level.

Nice. New to tying and just found you. Two questions about tools if I may? Your UV light and your scissors. Looking for a VFM light and thin sharp scissors for trimming tags close. As a novice, I’ve realised nail scissors clearly don’t do the job properly! Thanks. Have subscribed.

Welcome Phil, I have just recently been given Alonefire SV003 torch and it has rechargeable batteries. I have found it pretty good. As for scissors you can spend a lot of money on them. It's seldom wasted, if you can try and get to a tackle shop where you can hold them in your hands before deciding. Some have very small finger holes. I hope this helps pal.

@@lindsayiflyfish Brilliant. Thanks for the swift reply. Funnily enough, after dropping you the note, I saw and watched your vid on five tools! Info on the torch is useful and the scissors question was inspired by the inability you describe of getting touchy feely in a shop. Given what you've said, I'll refrain from an online punt and make do with the 'Boots specials' for now - even though they approach tag ends and waste like a pair of garden shears! Appreciate the response and love the vids. No need for another answer BTW..

The most used fly in my box for stillwater / Rsv fishing and probably seen some of my best fish fall to these, and would never be on the water without a selection , like this i have been tying some with a very short body last few weeks, after finding the fish had switched of Pseudo Bach's and few other variations the shorter body seemed to start delivering fish again, thanks for sharing this little one another good edition to the box.
