Hi I am a new subscriber and I have Down syndrome myself and I totally relate to Lucas's story on most of what I struggled with in my own life

Thanks for sharing this it has been nicely put together. Our daughter was born with DS and while it's true to state my husband & I shared very similar fears that were mentioned in the clip; our daughter has taught us the beauty of life from her perspective. We believe we are blessed with the responsibility of caring and raising our daughter, and that the fact that she has DS adds to the uniqueness of who she is. With the right support our daughter will continue to be that outstanding person she was made to be.

That's wonderful to hear. Everyone we spoke to agreed: that with the right support, their kids can do anything they want in life.

My youngest daughter was born with Down's Syndrome 24 years ago, 24 happy years and many more to come. I would not change anything.

Hi there, just curious if the condition is detected by nuchalscan or antenatal scans or screens?

doctors need to stop scaring parents with both prenatal and newborn diagnosis. the way they approach is just very wrong.

Yes, we must change people's perspective's of ds. It is scary to have a child with down syndrome, but really they are no more a challenge than any other child.

love it BUT it IS "DOWN" SYNDROME not Down or downzie or downs. JOHN LANGDON DOWN it's not HIS syndrome...he did NOT hAVE DOWN syndrome. Anyway. JUST saying. I'm mostly just upset about the misuse of the term and we should be sharing AWARENESS, right? or am I being a debbie downsy?
