Needs more improvements. I hope developers can look at this comment. Please fix the following: 1. The player feet movements. Their feet move too fast like the speed of light. Their bodies and feet move like a robot and so fast. Especially when going after the ball or when going to the net or even when hitting a shot. Their feet and body need to move slower and more realistic like Top Spin 4. 2. Some shots are way too fast. The overhead shot and the volley shot is too fast. It looks unrealistic and not professional. Just make it as fast as Top Spin 4 overhead shots/volley and we will be grateful. Also, please give us the chance to use different type of volley shots like a volley drop shot or fast smash volley or deep slow slice. Similar to Top spin 4 volley shots types. 3. Please fix the serve motion of each player. Each player has to have the real signature serve motion. By serve motion, I mean the way the player toss the ball in the air and hit it with his racquet. This motion needs to be unique to each player. Don't give all players the same motion. Its just unrealistic and not fun to watch. 4. The player movement towards the ball needs to be adjusted. In this game, the player is moving just way too much freely and more like an arcade movement. You need to adjust that and force the player to slowly move to the middle of the court after returning a wide court ball. I mean slowly more like real tennis not fast as light. Just look at Top spin 4 and you will understand it. 5. Please fix the motion of hitting a volley shot or overhead shot. The motion is too fast and does not look realistic at all. It needs to be slowed down a bit. Also, please fix the way the player hits the volley shot. It looks like a robot is hitting the volley shot not a tennis player. It does not look flexible or realistic at all. 6. Please fix the stats of players. We want a real stats like Top spin 4 had. I mean we need detailed stats like: Serve stat, Forehand stat, Backhand stat, Volley stat, Reflexes stat, Power stat, Speed stat, and lastly Stamina stat. We need this to create a more detailed player specific to our chosen style of play. Top spin 4 is a good example of what I mean.
Gaddd!!! This game is so frustrating!!! I can see the shell of a great game here but it will require a lot more money and game design know-how than, I suspect, this studio possesses. It’s impossible to have a competitive game against the cpu above the easy difficulty; there are ~7 difficulties, and easy is the second easiest. Aiming and moving with the same joystick simultaneously is not natural for humans, one of them tends to take precedence. Either you concentrate on moving your player to the ball, pressing the shot button and hope the ball goes in a decent direction or you focus on the direction you wanna hit the ball and the power you want the shot to have; the latter almost never works for me as I have usually tried to direct the ball before my player is within range, so he ends up turning away from the ball instead. Holding your serve is unbelievably hard, almost as hard as breaking your opponent. The opponent just crushes my wide serve down the line even at max power, or returns my T serve deep; only ever had one ace. This game could do with a lot more visual cues to help its playability, the animations are wonky, player movement is jerky and I am never sure when I am within hitting range of the ball. There is never really any point in not holding down the run button because the ball moves too fast, and if you have to decide when to press the run button you are almost never gonna make the decision in time to reach the ball when it’s played away from you. There’s so much more they could have done to help make this game a better, for example, you are running towards a ball to make a shot, once you start that action , the cpu should take over getting you to the ball so you can focus on the timing and the kind of shot you wanna make, maybe some visual cues to let you know when you are within striking range of the ball: trust me, it’s very hard to tell. At this point, I must have played over a 100 games(games and not matches; each match has 2 sets, each set has 6 games), and I have won less than 20 games. Granted, I have played most of it on hard difficulty but it’s not like switching to normal made any difference and I consider myself to be a gamer of average skill, so hard should be around my level: my logic is that most games are made so that most people don’t require a high level of skill to play it. But this game, in my opinion, requires way too much skill in terms of timing, execution, multi-tasking and hand-eye coordination that only really good gamers could ever hope to play it. Bad as this game is, I still enjoyed playing it cause I love tennis. Tennis is a very interesting sport where success depends largely on timing and positioning. I can only imagine the amazing tennis game a big studio with the money and game know-how could create, cause right now, this feels more like a pet project than a game meant for a whole bunch of people to enjoy.
No offense, but as a tennis pro, I find this review very confusing... all of the videos I have seen of the game play have been awful. Mainly because the person playing has no idea what they are doing. Like standing in the middle of the court moving in circles while Returning serves.. or hitting slice shots/lobs when not necessary. Obviously it’s no fault of the people playing the game, as they don’t know how to play tennis or truly understand the game. I guess I’ll have to buy it myself and make a video from a tennis pro’s standpoint lol
So you want them to monetize this like Madden? Um no this is about the sport. That's all. I enjoy it. It's awesome. Definitely a must buy if you're into Tennis
Such a shame. Motion capture is the failure here. Your only playing as 1 average player all the time regardless of which player you are. Top Spin will always be the best online tennis game.

I don't care about animations or plastic faces. I only care about realism and feel of tennis within a game. And this game, the same as any other tennis game disappoints big time as usual. I'm sure none of developers have ever held a tennis racket in their hands and never even watched a full game on TV. This disaster is 100% arcade with zero tennis logic - left/right left/right left/right, is not how you play tennis. Neither every game consists of 30 shot rallies without mistakes. Mario Tennis is 5x more realistic, and I'm not even joking here.
Im having alot problem aiming my shots! Push left or upper left and then x,o or so and the ball just goes middle forward! Sometimes it aims. In what order should I do it? Followed tennis school in game and same problem there with aiming and most not at all...ps5 controller

It’s $10 right now at the Xbox store. Worth it?
The last game I played was virtua tennis 2 and I loved it
By the thumbnail I thought they are playing tennis with a lightsaber
No offense, but as a tennis pro, I find this review very confusing... all of the videos I have seen of the game play have been awful. Mainly because the person playing has no idea what they are doing. Like standing in the middle of the court moving in circles while
Returning serves.. or hitting slice shots/lobs when not necessary. Obviously it’s no fault of the people playing the game, as they don’t know how to play tennis or truly understand the game. I guess I’ll have to buy it myself and make a video from a tennis pro’s standpoint lol
@Dustbrush101, I think that’s a pretty good idea
I'd watch!
I’d beat you in a one on one game of tennis.
So you want them to monetize this like Madden? Um no this is about the sport. That's all. I enjoy it. It's awesome. Definitely a must buy if you're into Tennis
Never played top spin 4 if you think this is good sorry
Ehm...in what tennis game have the direction you run and shoot NOT been mapped to the same stick?
Such a shame. Motion capture is the failure here. Your only playing as 1 average player all the time regardless of which player you are. Top Spin will always be the best online tennis game.
This was a weak review, there was no mention of the lack of responsiveness or laggy gameplay
i play this game on xbox one and i don't know why but it lags when i play on clay. is it the game the problem or it's my console? i can't understand...
good sports game! its not easy but thats no minus. just buy it and enjoy. its way more realistic than ao2 and looks better too. solid 7/10
Gta tennis is better
Gta tennis hit different
Dude, this review can't be accurate at all. Guy doesn't know where to stand on the court!
Can Tennis World Tour 2 played by swinging the controller by hands like holding the racket?
help in the game shoots automatically, is there a solution when two people are played
Everyone have a great day
Playing this earlier was a lousy experience tbf. Virtual Tennis and Top Spin still dominate years later.
If you want to have the best experience in a tennis videogame get a ps3 and play virtual tennis 4.Also you can now play online in 2020...
Why this game doesn't change sides during the game? If you are on co op local is so annoying for the person playing on top side all game.
Game looks bad as hell but the reviewer should have at least learn about the basics of tennis. His movement when recieving makes me go crazy.
I am still playing AO tennis 2 which has a decent carreer mode, nice gamrplay, great editor and community downloads for all the players and stadiums, i am really looking forward to ao tennis 3
Why isn’t Venus playable?
I don't care about animations or plastic faces. I only care about realism and feel of tennis within a game. And this game, the same as any other tennis game disappoints big time as usual. I'm sure none of developers have ever held a tennis racket in their hands and never even watched a full game on TV. This disaster is 100% arcade with zero tennis logic - left/right left/right left/right, is not how you play tennis. Neither every game consists of 30 shot rallies without mistakes. Mario Tennis is 5x more realistic, and I'm not even joking here.
TOP SPIN 5 for the PS5! 4k graphics, 60fps, 100 venues!
Im having alot problem aiming my shots! Push left or upper left and then x,o or so and the ball just goes middle forward! Sometimes it aims. In what order should I do it? Followed tennis school in game and same problem there with aiming and most not at all...ps5 controller
I know its a Sega owned game but many branded games have ended on the PC/Microsoft & Sony Consoles & love to play a tennis game like Virtua Tennis & Virtua Tennis 2 on the Dreamcast & those tennis game's had great graphics for their time...
You could play full on championship mode & also have fun mini objectives like knocking over as many Ten Pin Bowling Pins over in a certain amount of time...
Basically a tennis game that was half serious & half goofball fun, i dont think its that much to ask as ive seen games blatantly based off of well know brand franchise games & all thet did was change the title...
In light of tbis still ongoing coronavirus stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world...
.....
2K games needs to take over tennis games in design and gaming development.
the reviewer should be ashamed of the lack of tennis knowledge, if i don't know anything about baseball i wouldn't go review a baseball game!
Can I use my created player online
Is it wrong for me to say i enjoyed Tennis on gta V?
Why aren’t 2k making a tennis game, the golf & basketball are world class in terms of game play
This game is free in PS4 plus for August . So, this is best game.
2 years ago I played a tennis game on my tablet that looks and plays much better than this 2020 game ....
Top spin tennis😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
So for someone who hasn’t played a tennis but has been interested in playing one, should I get this
Good question
Anyone remember Virtua Tennis 2 on Dreamcast? Had many a battles with my younger brothers
You have to hand it to Big Ant Studios. They know how to fuck up tennis games good and proper.
And us ps plus users are getting this trash for free
Why is he walking across the court when someone is serving at him? LOL
didn't find the first one great so reluctant to download
How does it compare to AO Tennis?
Ps plus August 2021? Who else
the biggest issue with this game is the reviewer dont know what he is doing.
Seems like the reviewer wanted more video game elements out of a sports video game.
If you want a tennis game, play Mario tennis, if you want a realistic tennis experience, go to an actual tennis court.
Can we have something a bit more like grand slam tennis 2 or top spin 4
Downloaded it today but might not even bother playing it now
