For the first guy you engaged with him at the baseline way way way to much . If he’s having better stamina then you / just is doing better at the baseline then u r . There’s only a few options u can (i recommend doing all of these ⬇️) 1. You need to approach the net as much as possible when your in good position, cutting off his time and forcing pressure on him Most people who play tennis play it very 1 dimensional and just stay at the baseline tennis is just more then that . 2. Add more topspin shot he was constantly pushing u back with topspin will allowing himself time to better position, when u topspin back u make the timing a lot harder as well as give your self time 3. Slice / drop shot combo in the match he did the same to u where he forced u to get the ball but leave the court wide open . When u drop shot u only want to do it when your in a advantage position or your opponent is far behind the baseline but when you do this u typically most of the time never want to hit a drop shot in the middle . U give the opponent to many looks When you do a drop shot on the left or right , if there running to the ball most of the time it will be cross because down the line is very hard to control in that situation. 4. U from time to time should of implemented serve and volley , to save your stamina and to put pressure on him , slice serve out wide when your on the right and topspin when your on the left of the court serving . If your scared to fully commit to the net u can stop roughly in the volley line aka half court just make sure your placement is good and going where it’s most likely Volley r meant for a 1-2 not a 1 What I mean by this is your first volley is set/ designed to give you the best position the 2nd shot is meant to close it out 5.u still have the habit of doing the same patterns which makes u predictable , make sure your patterns r constantly be switched up 6. U do still do down the line to much it’s good at times but u need to make sure your better set up to do so or your position is good when you do , this is just a bad habit people get from playing ai most of the time , in online u will get punished for it . Then you and has speed and ect it’s not smart to engage with someone where that’s there specialty For example let’s say I’m a boxer and u know this information and you’re not a boxer do u think it’s smart to engage with me and fight me in my own specialty ? Thanks! I try to rush the net sometimes but my volley is only at 30 so placement is not that good usually. I think my opponent was control flat shotting most of the time, not topspinning, which feel hard to return deep. But yeah, I agree I need to have more variety in my shots. Better drop shots would help. I’ve been trying this more in my latest games.

Thank you! You just have to practice with the left stick a little bit. When I began playing, it was tough to control the cursor, but then gets a bit easier the more you do it. I just move my left stick a little when starting my serve, then keep it still while serving. You’ll get the hang of it!
This game is so broken / unbalanced it’s unreal. You’ve got this assholes with 90/90+ FH/BH and close to 100 power hitting aces on the line with a 30 serve. It should be a trade off, if your serve is that weak you shouldn’t be able to get close to the line and it should be attackable. As it stands, the only way to compete is to match their stats and hope you time your shots better. I’ve found spamming a mix of full power topspin + control to the corners then looking for a short angle works well against these robots.
100%. They need to fix the serves. If they do that, then players can't have such high bh/fh/power anymore and it'll be more balanced. 30 serve just allows for too many attributes in other areas
@@gz6157 Of course. I don't remember all of my stats but I have 86 fh, 87 bh, 95 power, 60 stamina, 30 serve and volley, and close to 80 for speed and reflexes I think. More of the meta builds have higher fh/bh though. I sometimes reset my stats fully and so if I do it again, I'll maybe put it in a vid.
Also if you’re on the run/defence then I wouldn’t use flat shots with power… either full power slice/topspin to the corner or control topspin. Gives you time to reposition in the centre and anticipate.
While on the move. When is the best time to start pressing the hit button. Im just starting and could win a lot easier points if i got the timing down. I dont know if im pressing the button too early
Thanks for the question. I usually start holding the button around when my opponent hits the ball. Then let go of the button once the line on my timer hits the green. When you’re on the move and moving forward, the timer goes way faster which doesn’t make sense imo since the ball is coming at you slower. But in those cases, you do have to let go a bit earlier than normal.

I have tried it. It’s also a lot of fun (but you need the mods to make it fun). I’d say full aces gameplay is much more realistic, and the player animations are much better. But graphics are not that great and presentation is a bit worse than topspin. I only played against ai in full ace and it felt better than playing ai in topspin. If full ace was on xbox, I would play it a lot. Both are good, just more of what you are looking for.
Pro tip, on the deuce court stand as far right as possible and use a slice or power serve out wide. Its almost an auto win if you get a perfect timed power shot to open court.
hello bro great matches, power shots consume more stamina, if u play against top players they use 90% of control shots. And its much more easy to counter atack to players that abuse of powershots,

I mean my build is definitely not the most op. If I wanted to make it pure meta, I'd have 90 fh and 97 bh, but my stats are only 86 and 87. That's why I can't always place it at the back of the court (even with high power). This is just how I played in Topspin 4. Winning isn't all that matters but if you want to have a chance at winning, you gotta follow the same trends as other people (which is something I don't want but is just how the current state of the game is). Once the devs fix 30 serve and actually give players a reason to upgrade it, we'll see more balanced builds with less power. That's when more people will switch to other builds and we will have more variety. But nonetheless, thanks for the comment. I do agree that it is boring playing the same type of play style over and over. I don't necessarily blame players though for wanting to win in a competitive mode, but rather the devs for not fixing it yet. It has been one month.
@@MoreAyReef I agree that ur build is not the meta with almost 100 overall. But at the end in my eyes a real life pro player has 1 or 2 skills that are near 100 not more. So most have strong fore and backhand, great power and so much speed. That was never possible at topspin 4. At the end of the day its not on u to change that. 2K has to balance it and give other builds the same chance to win a game and keeping up the fun factor for online competition.

If you can’t beat them join them! Sometimes if I encounter a more balanced player I won’t cheese it as much.
