I think it pretty clearly shows itself to be a dangerous weapon you would not want to tangle with in any particular manner of use. Basically put it down on something and pull. The knife will do the rest.
its supposed to be for defense only. Its designed to slash and the serations tear through clothes and flesh like nothing. If it dosnt scare your attacker off first.
got mine today and I am a Spyderco man now, its my first one, yeah I know its a bit of an extreme starter but it was love at first sight and I`m I will never actually use it, more collection only, I have the UKPK and the C137 on order as well. THEN I get the Paramilitary 2..
@roygbiv2411 Check my link under the vid (I fixed it). It will take you to the product page where the knife is about as cheap as you will find. Remember, if you find a popular knife for a very low price, chances are its not genuine.
came with information and not literature? im disappointed bob. lol "literature" i think the matriarch was a more affordable version although smaller. i would like a civilian but they are so expensive. so very costly. its a pocket scythe for sure. swing it around like a bat.
The name 'Civilian' comes from the knife's original intended purpose; to be used by under-cover police officers dressed as civilians and are therefore unable to carry their firearms. So, in short; it's supposed to be a knife that's going to do you as much good in a fight as a gun, as much as possible anyway, which I think is pretty badass, nice knife.

It was made strictly for self defense not for everyday use
i belive the blade shape is made to puncture,grab, and draw "material" on to the cutting edge.
@tacticalfairy That was a Spyderco Harpy
I've got this theory that Bob is actually just a pair of hands and a disembodied voice.
I handled one today at a gun and knife show It is actually really useful in a self defense situation I really like it and I'm
looking for one.
Wicked blade. I could see this doing major damage in a reverse grip.
That is a wicked deadly weapon no matter what it looks like! I've had one for several years now. It would indeed rip an attacker's guts out!

Thumbs up if you believe Bob's voice has a beneficial drug-like effect. ~Israel
Oh my, this knife is just waiting for a Karambit-ring, this knife is natural to be used as a Karabit.
sweet review man, been meaning to get one but always get side tracked and pick something else up!
Nice review, thanks!
@sturmgewehr70 you like it? bec im thinking of getting this or a police or paramil 2
Breeden Rescue C139GP -do you have this in stock??
I didn't catch the price point, if you even mentioned it.
Since its meant to be a fighting knife anyone can use effectively was it designed after claws in animals? It's looks like a claw to me.
you sound like Tay Zonday haha? Nice deep voice
@XDJOHNNYFORTXD On Knives Town, it's $164.95.
yeah bob!, its a spyderco case..............
Where can i get this knife for cheap?
I love this knife, its badass. my fav. is the plain edge civilian which is a bitch to find
Looks like a bird skull
Good vid as always Bob, from Knivestown. Not a fan of the knife though. Looks awkward to me.

That's a strange knife... IMO most agressive looking tactical knife from Spyderco, and it's called CIVILIAN
@freedoomed you are rigth he is!!! hes a ghost!!!!!!
they named it civilian because the name police was already taken
They messed up on the name. It should be called the devils tooth pick.
@freedoomed lol!!
Buy the knife and you will think differently
