Yea true but there are also some silver linings to pull out of this. Good doesn’t have to be complicated, good things come out of bad, shit is what you make it etc.
i skipped through all the other pushup videos based on thumbnail until i found the one that looked most like a convict. This was the video, because i knew they would give the best advice
I like that he's trying to better himself and others. His idea that you want to isolate the muscle is sound advice. The first "variation" he showed is awesome! It's not a variation though, but proper technique to train the chest and should be done on every rep. You need to develope mind muscle connection and isolate the muscle throughout the entire range of motion. In the second half the of the rep focus on squeezing your biceps together and pushing through your thumbs, at the bottom of the rep your hands should be nipple level then push up and away a little, towards your collar bone level. Keep your head up to allow maximum stretch and touch your chest to the ground or elevate like he did with dumbbells. Lucky for him he's doing the best portion of the rep, the stretch, however leaving some gains without full rom. Compound lifts can be awesome because you get more work done with less effort.
Partials can also be useful as an injury work around. Right now I have something kind of squirrelly with my left tricep/shoulder but I can do pull-ups at the bottom part of the motion pain free. If you can keep moving without aggravating the trouble spot, you’ll heal faster. Blood flow.

The push up variations are great and not giving me any trouble where I got hurt..glad I found the channel, keep at it, this channel is going to be big.

The “rotational torque technique”is amazing I’m not 100% if I’m doing exactly what you are doing, but I almost feel stronger when doing them this way and like every muscle fiver is working and filling with blood and I can reach true failure better
