I laughed out loud when he tried to trick us by saying he used a lens and sunlight to start the fire -- I'm just surprised he didn't follow that up by saying he used C-4 and a flamethrower to get it going

Watching this in 2023, up to date on video collection, this is like traveling back in time 😂 these kinds of videos are my favourite, doesn't need to be anything flash or unique, just chilling with Steve in the wilderness for a few minutes is all that's needed.
A nice spot to camp in. Always love your cooking. You always seem to come with interesting meals. Tip: rub a bit of dishwashing liquid on the outside of the frying pan. It will make cleanup much easier. 👍

@Honeysuckle Blossom : Ya gotta buy the high-grade stakes to keep from bending them in rocky ground. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen guys with cordless drills staking down that way. Might want bolts of different lengths, depending on the ground. But this looks like silt deposits from the nearby stream. He had no problem pounding that cooking rig about a foot deep. He'd've had no trouble pounding in stakes in what looks like built-up mud flats.

I am stoked to go camping in my RV but seeing you roughing it so simplistically is inspiring me to lean more minimalist. And the cooking, you should have a separate channel for that! Adding a second whole tortilla on top (using cheese as glue) and now you made twice as many quesadillas, and you fix the overstuffed problem too!
I've been frying up zucchini and onion in my quesadillas, so yummy. I eat a lot more meat since I started watching Steve cook by campfires lol!

They are definitely worth it but I don't know how much it cost because mine was a gift. But it is worth it, it works great.
