My wife and I are 71 and 82 respectively, in our younger days we camped nearly every weekend in Eastern Oregon. We played music all over that area. We stealth camped in a van that I built into a camper with folding sofa/bed. We once traveled thru Canada from glacier Park to Vancouver Island camping all the way in an International travel all. Steve,I’m so sorry about your wife. I tow lost my husband in February this year to cancer. We loved to tent camp and then started buying campers. Our last trip was in 2019 to visit family in Washington. Just remember,like me ,they are not gone as long as they are still in our hearts❤️
And using different camping gear for different situations is very helpful. From casual camping to serious backpacking in stealth mode your info gives good lessons, as well as charm!

One thing about the cabins is that there are many people who are dealing with physical challenges or the elderly and it's nice to have an opportunity to be in nature areas.
that or they may have a sun disorder where the sun tries to kill them and the cabins protect them from the killer sun and yes there is a disease where you can be allergic to the sun it's not vampirism but a real disease so yeah
I love this channel so much. You have a lot more similarities in gear and attitude compared to most "outdoor youtubers". Just a "regular Steve" like the rest of us, enjoying your life and sharing your experiences, however exciting or dull.

Steve you bring back great memories I started camping with my kids when I first got separated and divorced.. used to camp with my kids for 5 to 7 days.. the first year they were 3 ..4 .. and my daughter was six yo... We camped every year right up until they were teenagers.. great times playing cards for peanuts .. playing checkers in Othello on the picnic bench inside the screen house until 12:00 in the morning.. walking around seeing the Milky Way and the beautiful Stars from the top of the mountain.. we could even see satellites slowly moving across the sky it was so clear... My kids playing in the stream catching frogs.. building a swimming hole in the brook to get cool and wash up.. traveling to the nearby lake to go swimming.. cooking out and having a a blast.. thanks for all these videos Steve.. I'm planning to retire next year get a pick up in a 19 ft travel trailer and travel the USA . And possibly Canada.. I got to do it before I get too old..

I go to Badlands National Park in South Dakota every year on my way out west. Love the rock formations, it's like being on another planet.

Steve you bring back great memories I started camping with my kids when I first got separated and divorced.. used to camp with my kids for 5 to 7 days.. the first year they were 3 ..4 .. and my daughter was six yo... We camped every year right up until they were teenagers.. great times playing cards for peanuts .. playing checkers in Othello on the picnic bench inside the screen house until 12:00 in the morning.. walking around seeing the Milky Way and the beautiful Stars from the top of the mountain.. we could even see satellites slowly moving across the sky it was so clear... My kids playing in the stream catching frogs.. building a swimming hole in the brook to get cool and wash up.. traveling to the nearby lake to go swimming.. cooking out and having a a blast.. thanks for all these videos Steve.. I'm planning to retire next year get a pick up in a 19 ft travel trailer and travel the USA . And possibly Canada.. I got to do it before I get too old..
