Having just recently went through my first design process (i'm a backend dev) , this has been insightful ! it will definitely help me out in future projects , thank you
I'd love to do a course that talks about design aspects and the dos and don'ts in web design. I've had to learn a lot of things myself without an education, but due to my "I like doing this so I'm going to learn everything I can as I go + Jump in and do it" attitude I've not really found an online course that fits my needs. I find most courses start all the way at the beginning and repeat a lot of stuff I know. I also find them slow-paced and find myself spacing out. I've learned a lot from working with drag-and-drop builders over the last 2 years but I want to plant my feet for once. Any recommendations on solid quality courses? So happy I found your channel today. I love how you explain things while keeping on topic and to the point.
Now that you've designed it. Is there a way to make it responsive like an actual website, like can we make it clickable, and its gon take us to another home page and of course make it a website with a link so we can give our client as a job done
@@rachelhurry3449 Nice, so it is the editor who syncs the camera with the screen recording and audio or are you able to connect them as you record? Probably a trivial question but I can't figure it out lol. I like the way Flux videos are produced
For the website alone or the entire branding process? Assuming this company is in a developed country, and bundling in the brand work, low-to-mid 5-figures. $15,000-40,000. I could see that going as low as $8,000 for a smaller company or maybe for a younger designer but Rachel's experience is going to bring consistent results so she'll get much higher prices.
@@ethanrogers9627 Hi Ethan! That's really useful information. I'm a brand designer. I have a full time job, but now i would like to start freelancing. Would you mind sharing few tips on how to approach and close clients?
How do i know which color is the principal main color, which one is the second main, or which one is the accent color etc. ? i also want to really understand how to use the 60-30-10 with a color palet
I hope this is what you mean, but I think you can use Behance. There you can search for 'Projects' and then filter for Branding. And then just sort by 'top rated' and 'all time'. You will be good to go then. I advise you to create an account and save any projects you really like. I think you could have A LOT of practice then. Good luck

Hi! Very nice video, i loved it the process. Thank you for creating this video. I am new in this of design web. I have a question. Whats name the program that you used for creating this sitio web? Thank you :)
This was really great to see and hear your thought process. Thank you for creating this video. I appreciate this type of content. What information do you suggest putting in the footer? Also, is it correct to explain to clients why the footer is important because it gets viewers to stay on the site longer?
Thanks for watching Jenny! Footer content can vary depending on the business but you usually want to include business info, contact info, the primary nav links, social media and of course pages like privacy policy, terms of use etc :) I also like to add a logo variation or something visually interesting to close off. Absolutely explain the importance to your client!
First of all: Thanks a lot for this video. Its allways interesting to see the approach from other designers. Lots of good and interesting information! One suggestions for your videos: Don't use a ring light in this setup. Since you wear classes and you are not sitting direct in front of the light, the reflection is wandering over your glasses and this is somewhat distracting and does not look that good :-)
Design is clear and looks playful but it misses all the opportunity that the media provides. At this current stage it is barely any different than a flyer design. What catapults a website design is what comes after this stage. Interactivity! . hyperlinks and form inputs are actuators. But this site needs an interactive theme absorbing the human perception and routing him/her to the destination. Please use the power of media in your designs (which in this case it is interactivity)
That’s a lot of big words 😮 thanks for you input - keep in mind this is the “static” design phase. Interactivity and usability would theoretically come next in the prototyping phase, and then of course into development. 😊
@@rachelhurry3449 I just don't want newcomers call it a day when they are just done with this stage as you and I both know the web is stateful and design should propogate to all of those states (time series) in order to compose a consistent, meaningful experience. A reaction to every action consuming laws of ux is what makes the difference.
You created all this awesome site, ...but why you dont translate it directly into html and make a website directly out OF THIS XD-prototype!? ....Why you give this to a webflow dev. who starts from scratch :-O ????
I actually never wireframe, I just scetch on paper and then go into the design. Otherwise I have to do the website 3 times: wireframe, design, developing. For me wireframing does nothing anyway and I wouldn't show that to the client anyway as it probably just confuses them.
Love it, a way you showed the whole process and phases - keep up the good quality ! :)
Thank you! Will do!

Yes. What you describe would be the development phase. You can use a tool like Webflow, Framer, or Wordpress for this.

Quick time to record my screen and audio, or Loom depending on what I’m doing. And then I use a Sony Aiii camera and Sure mic 😊

I appreciate the video so far, but that’s the web design, not the web site? How would you take it from designs in XD to building the website?
what software did you use ??
With this level of work/quality I'm curious on how much you'd charge for this if this was a client project.
It would totally depend on the actual scope of the project and the client 😊

Adobe XD 😊
