    I think people don't realise how varied the Jewish community is. There is a whole massive spectrum of Jews, all different sorts of cultures all over the world, all with the same G-d and תורה at its core.
    There is a lot of under-representation of most Jewish groups on BuzzFeed, who only really focus on white American Ashkenazi reform/conservative Jews, never mentioning orthodox, chareidim, chasidim, Yemenites, mizrachim, Sephardim, Ethiopian Jews, Israeli Jews or any other really
    There is a such a varied culture amongst that 0.2%. Look into it and love it.

      I dont know why you make the difference between Ashkenazim , Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews because they share 70% of the same ancestry . If the Ashkenazim are white , so are the Mizrahi and Sephardi

    • @aylal5240
      @aylal5240 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tandekabottoman9386 really jews are a semitic nation - however following numerous exiles over the last millenia jews have beem spread accross the world. this is how jews became group known as sepharadim; and ashkenazim - this denotes where they come from - and there are subcultures within each group - each subculture with its own special set of minhagim (culture) so jews from russia etc. are 'white' whilst jews from yemen are 'brown'

    • @kjbrandman
      @kjbrandman ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tandekabottoman9386 ashkenazi has a different culture than mizrahi and sephardic. first, there is no reform, conservative or orthodox outside of ashkenazi. sephardic and mizrahi don't label themselves like this. that's an ashkenazi thing.

    A lot of this is not common Jewish knowledge... it's cool to see a video about Jews (as a Jewish person) but I would rather see something more in-depth than random facts. Also, why are the five books of the Torah listed in English? There are Hebrew names for these books (after all, the Torah is written in Hebrew).

      1) There is something called transliteration, which is writing the Hebrew word with English letters. Even if you don't speak Hebrew, you can read it using English letters. 2) This is a video for a specific religion where that is the language of the religion. It should at least be included. 3) I'm not saying there shouldn't be any translations, but the Hebrew names should be included because that is the common language of the religion (especially because not every Jewish person is an English speaker)

      The crust of the bread is brown but because it I baked with a lot of egg the inside is usually yellow. If it is made with less egg the inside will be white but traditionally it is yellow. Hope I answered your question.

    I'm a Christian gentile. I am coming to understand the feasts. Last Christmas, I believe the Father showed me how Christmas came about. I prefer not to celebrate that anymore. What I AM looking to do is celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. I am looking forward to when Yeshua comes again and we will celebrate Feast of Tabernacles with Him. I believe Him and the Father tabernacle within me now. It brings me joy. I am healed of issues that I have had in the past and I thank the Father for that. I am thankful that Yeshua died on the cross and now I am saved through his blood and sacrifice.
    Zechariah 14:16-19
    Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them. If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

      +Apollo DA I meant ethnic as in Sephardic and Mizrahi groups (Like the Middle Eastern, North African, Iberian regions) and not only just regular, run of the mill caucasians. It would have been cool too to at least see someone who has mixed ancestry and is also jewish (like drake and rashida) I just expected to see different types of jewish people and representation (especially on a channel like Buzzfeed that can sometimes go overboard with "representation" when it comes to different topics lol)

    It makes me sad to see how many Jews aren't practicing. As a christian gentile, I'm a strtaight up fanboy. You are GODS CHOSEN RACE!!! HE CAREFULLY CRAFTED YOUR BLOODLINE!!! That's so cool, and a lot of them throw that away, and their numbers dwindle every generation... I AM happy im a gentile though; keeping kosher seems like a true nightmare. Kudos to all my Jewish homies out there who are disciplined enough to do what I definitely could not.
