    You are a king amongst royalty, sir! Thanks to your guidance, my wife and I can get to work again and stop struggling to find transportation. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this and share your time, skills and knowledge. You didn't just help get a 2000 Buick LeSabre working again. You helped a family in an extremely stressed time of need.

    One trick you can do is remove the fuse for the fuel pump, and start the engine. Let it run until the engine starves for fuel, and stalls. Then remove the filter with slightly less mess.
    This typically works with other platforms so I think it should be feasible with the lesabre.

    I watched another video that said remove the fuel pump fuse then turn the ignition a few times to release pressure. There's also a Schrader valve on top of the engine like a bicycle tire valve and poke it with a screwdriver to release the pressure.

    To stop your car from stalling when you start the car up, turn the key from off to on a few times to prime the fuel pump, it pressurizes the fuel lines a bit.

It's constantly running. I couldn't afford a 350 one. If it gets to a quarter tank it spits and sputters. But now it does it at stop, once going its ok...any suggestions sir?

    • @The_Rev_Room

      Well I would never recxomend buying a off brand fuel pump. But I would check into the fuel filter which is cheap to replace. But other then I would save up to eventually replace that fuel pump to something better.

      @@J_a_k_e388 if u do it as shown you wouldn’t have that issue. But yes some fuel will come out as u see in video. It shouldn’t be “excessive” but no I didn’t pinch the fuel line. If u take the line off towards the front of the car the rest should go back into the tank. By any chance do you have the car on? Like keys in ignition turned on cause that would keep the fuel pump running.

    • @J_a_k_e388
      @J_a_k_e388 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there. Nothing was on. Pardon me please, but I did do literally exactly what the video said. I waited around a half hour and the amount of fuel drained to about half the depth of the drip pan. I even called Christian Bros and the gentleman said the only way to get it to not drain was to plug the fuel line somehow. I mean, at that point, won't fuel be spilling everywhere due to the pressure? I do appreciate the help, I do. Simply put, this hasn't worked for me. These are the steps I took, please correct if it is wrong.
      1. Lift car. (turned off and no keys in ignition).
      2. Grab wrenches to loosen nut around fuel line next to filter to drain. (I ended up using PB Blaster due to rusted nut. I did get the leak to stop by retightening the nut.)
      3. Let fuel drain until it stops.
      (didn't stop).
      4. Take off fuel line and drain filter.
      5. Unclip and remove filter.
      6. Clip new filter and and reverse process.
      7. Check for leaks.
