Seeing a GT-R like this being put up against a Plaid makes us sad. I know getting an actual fast Aussie GT-R there is unlikely, so get the next best thing, the TRC R32 GT-R. It runs 8.9 on drag radials so is an actual match for a Plaid. An 11-second R34 was never going to stand a chance. I'll get one of my GT-Rs to the states eventually
I took a stock 92 GTR, kept it factory low mount twins config, head was built to stage 1, stock bottom end from 1992, not even refreshed, and was putting down 750 to the wheels, 864 to the crank. Original stock tranny (added a multiplate clutch) stock drivetrain. These things were simply made to be beasts.
Are you sure about that?😂 The gtr stock weighs 1530kg but this one is obviously highly modded so it's probably lighter. Power to weight ratio=2.19kg/HP PLAID power to weight ratio=2.20kg/HP People only look at the HP for some odd reason, everyone forgets about the weight

GT-R spent most of the time on the limiter, or missing shifts. Been funner if better prepared - maybe that is what speed shifting looks like left handed. But I guess fun to hear it snap crackle and pop and blow smoke.
I think people keep forgetting that the plaid has 1000 hp, it’s not fast just because it’s electric, if bmw made the new m5 have 1000 hp it would kill tons of stuff too.
If you want to get from A to B as cheaply and quietly as possible (not including the price of the car) sure get an EV, I actually considered one before covid just for something to do the boring commute in, but now I work from home full time and therefore have no real need for an EV as my cars are only for fun.

Except Adam’s is a twin turbo and this guys is a single.
