The way he shakes that bottle while I’m on these gummies is crazy 😂
Looks nice. I've seen the pool noodles in another video. I did learn about the little window to check the water level. Great!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you for this video! 💕 I ordered my baskets yesterday! I'm going to reuse pasta sauce jars.
that's great, good luck.
@@TheFrugalHugelGardener Any follow up on how the grow is going?
I'm not sure if I missed it, but what mineral solution do you add to the water?
General Hydroponics MaxiGro Plant Food
What size mason jar and what size net pot do you use?
they are wide top jars and I use the 3 inch Net Cups
Couldn't you just use amber colored jars since it blocks UV light? Will that work?
probably, they purpose is to block out the light that will cause algae.
I've been using amber colored jars to grow lettuce and I have never had problems with algae forming in the jars. My main light source are overhead LED lights .
Where do you get your hydroponic cups from?
Hi I got mine from Amazon
Are you just using tap water?
Hi I use General Hydroponics MaxiGro Plant Food
Can someone explain this TH-cam fascination with growing lettuce? Almost no nutritional value. Little flavor. No bulk.
lettuce goes good with tomatoes as a salad.
Commercial lettuce you buy at the grocery store (especially iceburg lettuce) has little nutritional value, but if you grow lettuce yourself and choose the right varieties it has alot more. The more color it has the more nutrition it has generally, so red leaf lettuce varieties are a good choice. It also depends on what nutrients you give it.
Romaine lettuce has much more nutritional value than iceberg. Same for the leaf lettuces.
Please, don't explain the reasoning for the tape, as it's obvious. Thank you for your video, though.
it is definitely nice to be able to see the water level inside the jars :-)
@@TheFrugalHugelGardener . If you don't want to let light in, isn't it defeating the purpose? I'm confused. I thought you couldn't have any light due to mildew
@@barbarabergonzi8695Thanks Barbara, I was wondering the same thing. Seems it's just a waste of expensive black spray paint. I always read to just wrap the jar with a scrap of cloth or even using your cut up brown paper shopping bags secured with a rubber band. If algae eventually starts to grow inside the jar, just wash the jar out and wrap it back up. The pool noodle is a great idea, but I'm wondering what do you do when the stalk of the plant grows larger than the hole you first put it in? Guess you have to unwrap it from the plant and cut it shorter, then put it back in the pot?
Who shakes a paint can like that? Its disturbing.
