I real liked Carol Nattar’s ? portrait of Deborah James. It’s even more poignant knowing that this lovely lady did eventually lose her battle with cancer but she has left a huge legacy including lovely portraits of her.
Leading questions from the judges seem to imply value judgments, subtly obliging the artists to concur with aesthetic canons that might not be theirs. I think fewer interruptions would help the artists, who must already be nervous.
Victoria should have won hands down, or Nila, even though she wasn't chosen to be in the top 3, yet she had the best likeness. I will never understand why they don't prioritise likeness as the number one element.
Just a general comment…would it be possible to have an episode where no technological things were allowed? I think it extremely rude, when you have a live sitter, to take photos and never look at the sitter again. One particular group here, if I was the sitter, I would have walked out!!
wish they were all banned from using phones or iPads....what's the point of these famous people giving up their time for more than 4 hrs and then the artists spend their time looking at their tiny flat screen and ignoring the wonder of real life... that aside i LOVE this show
I'm an artist with myopia. The models are too far away. I can't see details at a distance, but everything close up is blurry when I wear my eyeglasses.I won't get bifocals or monovision contacts. My close up vision is perfect. I'd spend half the four hours putting my glasses off and on a million times without an iPad reference photo. You must not be a painter, or you wouldn't make that comment.
The reason they use those is because they aren’t close enough to see details. All artists use small ways to “cheat” when drawing or painting. You still need talent regardless of whether you use an iPad or smart phone or just draw from the sitter.
I agree. They can make do and it will be a part of their accomplishment no matter what. It’s very rude to the sitter. It’s totally contrary to the whole idea! An artist with eyesight trouble can deal with changing glasses squinting etc….

love these programs.
Thank you Banijay! I haven’t seen this season yet.
Firehouse Chief looks like a nubian King from the ancient past..even in Jeans!
Marvelous Man!
Love this show!
Thank you for getting the chronological order straight. Label with season and episode 😎🇨🇦
I didn't see episode 1 or 2.... Is it there?
@@pr1me840I have the same question. And episode 11 is already uploaded but I really want to see the other episodes first 🤗😅
Nila's portrait had the best likeness en was beautiful! She should have won!
Jurassic Carroll nailed the sitter perfectly. Simply perfect.🤔😊😊
Victoria's portrait was the best and should have won. The others missed on the likeness. Judges erred on this one.

I especially feeling like they are trying to influence the artist. HUSH! leave them alone

The winning painting was beautiful, but lacked any likeness. I'll never understand the judges. 🤔
Yes. It is pointless choosing a portrait that doesn't look like the subject.
Ty 😊
They should stop interrupting artists!
It would be a very dull show without the conversations with the artists.
I would really be annoyed by the interruptions

The eyes on the first shortlisted one were all wrong....they looked kind of wonky and a little creepy
weakest of the 3, but no surprise with those "judges"
Nila got robbed!
Thanks so much for uploading. Are the other episodes of series 07 also coming soon? 🤗🙏🏽
That sewing machine one was a ridiculous huge waste of time.. it was weird..
I must say Mr. Walker is one fine actor. He was incredible in ‘OZ’.

Phones and iPad were permitted from the start. Almost all of the self portrait submissions were done with that technology.
It's a shame that he influences Carol by mentioning whether she wants to use a palette knife and then doesn't like it afterwards.
No public watching from behind the artists?
love this show but the the winners never seem to be picked properly. clearly that was not the best painting on the spot.
Using photos should not be allowed. I would give the prize to the one who didnt
Photos are allowed. Complaining about it is comical.
Nila was robbed
It would be more interesting if I knew English
Consider yourself lucky. The judges are buffoons who spout gibberish.
Replace these 3 judges.
