Thanks for the video! Stuck out here in the flatlands of East NC. We've just now got into overlanding to enrich our camping experience and I'm itching to head west. What I am really struggling with is knowing if I need to make upgrades to my truck for some of the rougher areas like in uwharrie
Hey GP! I’m not personally familiar with the trails at Uwharrie. That said, from the online posts most stock 4x4 vehicles should be able to do any of the trails that don’t start with a D. You definitely won’t have problems with Old 105.
Most people start at the Linville Falls Trailhead area. I’ve got the Gaia track posted in the description in case you use Gaia. If not this link will help: Linville Falls - Trail and Waterfall maps.app.goo.gl/cELApd49SpP3qz249?g_st=ic Have fun!
Hey man. No, you don’t really need a 4x4, but some extra clearance will make it much more fun. Even the clearance of a Subaru will work. My wife’s Honda Pilot had no issues.
I from here - and I sure hope and pray - the people back out what they back in
Definitely!
In burke county
Yes.
Old nc 105 in burke county
Yeah. It’s in Burke and McDowell counties.
Great video! Especially appreciate the Gaia GPS route. Will be heading up that way after the fall rush.
Awesome. Glad I could help. It’s a great place to camp in the fall.
Did you use to live in High point for a short time??
Hey man! Nope. I’ve traveled there before but grew up in Johnson City TN.
