I think Vader is pretty underrated in lightsaber combat skill, I honestly never hear anything about that for him. It was difficult for Vader AT FIRST, but over the years, he DID get used to his suit.
This channel does cover on how this version of Vader fights etc. The EU legends Vader mastered all 7 forms of lightsaber that the jedi offers in a technique aspect; sonic speeds is what Vader will swing, his powerful strikes are enough to almost bait and disarm a lightsaber from a jedi or person. If you want to see the info of what vader's skill of which forms he mastered here it is In Disney Canon: the video is correct, and in Legends he mastered all 7 forms, he uses form 5, 3, 7 depends on context, 2,and he done acrobatics before like flips from time to time outside of battles. He has weakened in potential yet he honed it to his peak of his potential as he could.
Vader vs Obi wan on the Death Star was basically a big soresu battle. He wasn’t about to let Obi wan smash his chest plate again and decided to beat the master of soresu at his own game. Simply tire him out then strike
Excellent video, Anakin was athletic and offensive, Vader was more calculated and defensive, the forms are an extension of a force users mentality and character.
One of my (admittedly many) favourite Vader moments comes from a comic, when he is fighting a potential replacement/test from Sidious. A Mon Calamari General Grevious wannabee with four lightsabers. He says something along the lines of "I only need one lightsabre" as he easily dispatches the cyborg. So sick.
Holy crap heck of a video great job Stupendous always love videos talking about Vader’s lightsaber combat and how he had to use multiple forms just to complement his limitation it’s just always has fascinated me
The irony of it all is that where Anakin Skywalker fought with aggression and power like a Sith, Vader fought with the patience and attentiveness of a Jedi. One fought much like the opposing side.
They need to make Starkiller/Galen Marek) canon imo. Make a show revolving around some returning characters like the Jedi younglings Ahsoka instructed, idk if any of those kids were there on Coruscant during Order 66 but they can at least make it so some of them were off world somewhere when it happened. They could try to go back to the temple after their mission and run into Order 66 clones, only to be saved by Ahsoka. The Jar Jar actor who became a Jedi can be in it too, maybe connecting how Grogu survived. They end up leaving the temple behind and try to find somewhere to live. Ahsoka joins the rebellion but the younglings don't trust it so they go their separate ways. We find them a couple years later hiding out on a familiar planet when one day an accident happens and one of the Jedi saves an old man from a work explosion using the force, only for that old man to rat them out to the Empire. Vader shows up as terrifying as ever, in his evil prime, and kills one of the group. They quickly lose all hope as they don't know where to go next, until the Wookie Jedi tells them there is a Jedi settlement on Kashykk. The journey to get there ends up being very difficult, as the Empire is on their trail and everytime they stop for fuel or food they get attacked. They find a tracking beacon on their ship and destroy it, giving them a little bit of hope. By the time they get to Kashykk there are only a few of the group left, and they meet Galen and his Dad. Through some ironic shit, we find out Galen's Mom died in child birth after she had premonitions of a terrifying cyborg and her newly born son becoming a Sith, it then confirms how Padme died as Vader and Sidious have a cutscene where Sidious told Vader he sensed a disturbance in the force as an extremely high potential force user was just born. Sidious tells Vader to find the child and bring him to his presence. Some years after, Vader somehow knows this child is connected with the younglings he let escape. Cut back to Kashykk. Galen is being taught the force at a very early age, and the youngling survivors are also learning new things from Galen's father. Some years go by and the Empire begins trying to take Kashykk for Wookie slaves to build their weapons, and the planets resources. It takes some time but it all crashes down when the Jedi get word of the Empire building a base on the Kashykk moon of Endor, (more info on Endor and we find out there was another species besides Ewoks that lived there) prompting the headstrong youngling Petro to go try and protect the moon. Vader knows this quadrant of space is hiding the prodigy child, so he dispatches spies all around the area. The Empire's forces on Endor in the middle of building their base get ambushed by Petro and some of Endor's survivors, one of them has enough time to contact Vader and tell him about the Jedi. So Vader shows up very quickly as he was already on a Star Destroyer not far away, and before Petro knows he is in a duel with the Dark Lord. Vader remembers him and tells him he knows there are other Jedi around, cause he wouldn't have this much training otherwise. Vader still makes short work of him, but before he kills Petro he gets contacted by one of the spies, hearing how he saw a young boy using the force. Vader tells Petro his fight is over and his friends will be destroyed, then after killing Petro goes straight to Kashykk. Now we get right to the beginning of the Force Unleashed game, and Vader is on the front lines with the last remaining clone battalion the 501st and after killing the last of the youngling group one of the clones tells him there is an adult Jedi hiding with the Wookies. Just like the game, Vader destroys everything in his path on his way to Galen's father, and after killing the powerful Jedi he then tells Galen it was his fault his friends were found and killed, and he should have listened to his father. He also somehow knows Galen's mother was a Jedi too, and tells Galen his parents werent truly Jedi as they went against the code. After sensing the kid's anger and fear, Vader decides to hide Galen from Sidious and the story of Starkiller begins. At this point, Sam Witwer can come back and they can make a trilogy of movies with him, the third one being a direct continuation of the Force Unleashed 2 game. Through those movies, while Starkiller goes on Vader's missions hunting the remaining Jedi and coming across Sith from the past, he can run into an added mission with Darth Revan (played by Keanu Reeves) and if the fans like him enough they can make a TV show or movie about Revan's story. I just really want to see Sam Witwer return as Starkiller, there can even be a funny scene where Starkiller's training droid turns into Maul and Starkiller remarks how similar Maul sounds to him.
After he trains himself to fight efficiently in the suit, he wins every time. If the fight took place before he adapts his style to work in the suit, Dooku likely wins.
@@99thJediWarrior Likely is a vast understatement. Metaphorically speaking Dooku is a tiny rock while Vader is a whole mountain. Sorry Dooku but you are going to get completely obliterated with ease.
@@noahblevins9569 There is no scenario in which dooku would ever win against Vader. I still don't understand why Vader never upgraded his armor with Beskar. I think that even if he couldn't use it for his entire suit, he could have at least used it to protect his most vulnerable parts such as his helmet and breathing apparatus.
Well it was a very dangerous procedure to go through and the reason why he didn’t upgrade his suit is because he wanna be reminded of his failures, and even if he did upgrade her suit, he wouldn’t be in constant pain and he wouldn’t be angry so he wouldn’t be as strong as he was Cause anger made Vader powerful like so without his suit, causing him pain and anger. What would his purpose be?
Darth Vader's style is basically what I would learn. I personally would start off with form 3 and form 5. Although, I'm not too sure which I would pick first. I would add form 2 after mastering form 3 and 5. Form 1 I think is too basic for my liking, and not advanced like the other forms. But it might be a good style try out Form 4 relies on too much movement and energy for my liking. This comes from my experience in training martial arts. Kickboxing, Goju Ryu Karate, Judo, Taiho Jutsu, and Krav Maga Global. Form 6 looks good on paper, but I think you're better off spending that time mastering 1 or 2 forms. Plus, you might not be interested in learning all 5 forms. So, you might end up just cherry picking certain techniques to use. Form 7 is basically a more aggressive style of form 4.
I would like a closer look at obi wan, ik he has done a lot of videos on him before. But I would like to know if obi wan ever looked into knowledge of say the ancient Jedi.
